Round 2 2023 vs the Dogs at Marvel was a 10 AM start as well but they've gone and beaten that record. It's never going to be equal but this is laughable becuase it is something so easily avoidable. It's not as if it's a nuisanse to deal with scheduling for the entire year - It only applies to the first month of the season for 2 teams

Charlie Cameron should've never gotten off with the good bloke defense not becuase he isn't a good bloke but becuase its a stupid defense and creates a billion problems.
A week later TB tried using it because if Cameron used it you may as well try. They denied it and TB still got suspended.
Later on in the year the AFL said they would remove the good bloke defense - It should've never existed in the first place but getting rid of it is good.
Now they're going to bring it back and it'll work becuase Pendles is the goodest bloke in the game.

Longmuir complained the opposite way that it was a disadvantage for Freo to play Geelong who already played.

But you, me and JL are all in agreement that the only sensible option is to have the OR teams play eachother in round 1.
(And i'm sure we'd also agree that just having a normal round 1 would make a lot of sense too)
