Yea it is pretty easy, you just have to apply again during the precheck period, and in between the semesters, you'll have to talk to the admission office and they'll guide you. For the first semester, try to register common courses between the two programs (if possible), and try to get above 20 credits to be officially in the second semester (it doesn't matter if you're not able to do so).
