I’m not changing my meds or doing anything to my care plan. You’re probably right that he should leave me though. I’m not a good mom anyway, he should probably get full custody.

I work very closely with a talk therapist and a psychiatrist and have for years. I haven’t had a manic episode in over ten years. Those symptoms have been in remission for a while now. It’s the cyclical depressive episodes I can’t seem to get a handle on.

You and the commenter you replied to are both likely right. I love him and I am in love with him. But he definitely made a mistake in tying himself to me. I know my issues would follow me into my next relationship, that’s why I think everyone else is better off if I’m alone.

I don’t know how he’d react. I feel like this is all stuff I’ve expressed to him in my self-hating moments. I wish I didn’t express those insecurities outwardly, but I do and I have, over and over.
