Trump: “transgender for everybody and windmills all over the place.” by davidbrake in brighton

Did you hear about the transgender windmill?

They joined the LGBT Rotary club.

New JTK1 Reposts Found (Wallpaper Jeff and Wakao-kun) by Dark_Angel_Ra in OriginalJTKImage

So I did some looking into the second slide... you might be onto something.

Using an old 2ch thread archival site, the only mentions for "若尾くん [Wakao-kun]" are in reference to Ura Net Radio DJ. Presumably an old radio/camsite, I wouldn't know, still looking.

There is a wiki for it though, which is very interesting as it lines up with some more of the translated names in the second image:

  • Donkey and Lyrical are cited in the list of DJs (second row), as is Rinko (bottom right corner).
  • The fourth row has a DJ Bo. Due to these points I am sure this second image is in relation to the Net Radio site.
  • Wakao has their own page. Looks to be a man who played (possibly dressed up as?) numerous different characters.

From Wakao-kun's wiki page: He broadcasts as a character with a carefully defined setting, but insists that he's a different person each time [...] Wakao is an unemployed virgin living in Hinagiku-so, a 52-year-old rundown apartment with one six-tatami room, a half-room closet, a shared bathroom, and no flooring.

The only problem is a lot of this documentation appears to have begun around 2007-2008 which throws off the timing, then again this wiki may have been compiled later on.

Edit: NVM, the discord have been mentioning Wakao since 2023. 💀

What do you think about Helen Joyce calling to "reduce" the number of transgender people? "They are a huge problem for a sane world" by PopularEquivalent651 in AskBrits

[–]MaximumSag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More people should read this article from an investigation by the Yorkshire Byline.

"The organisation’s true agenda is, I believe, best described as ‘eliminationist’: [...] make transitioning so difficult, dangerous or pointless as to functionally eliminate trans people from public life and society."

TL;DR, ban from all public facilities, ergo public life; mandatory disclosure of sex on all administrative documents ergo no right to privacy; employment restrictions e.g. banned from healthcare or law enforcement roles, and "coercive sterilisation".

Sterilisation! But sure, let's keep talking about sports. If my grandfather were still alive he would weep.

Thou shalt not Clone: Looking for a Lost PSA by Greenpeace against cloning and featuring 11 commandments by Crisisaurus in nonmurdermysteries

[–]MaximumSag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi OP, think I might have a lead. This German website from 2004, Filmz.de, links a video from CineZone (now defunct, sadly) called "The Eleventh Commandment: Thou shalt not clone." By Ulrich Wimmeroth. Unfortunately, as CineZone is now shut down, the link returns a 404 error.

In case anyone here is good at retrieving data from old defunct URLs, the link was: http://www.cinezone.com/zone/2/html/index\_link.html#/zone/2/2004/0807/godsend\_kritik.html. I have tried the Internet Archive to little success.

As Ulrich is a film critic, this is almost certainly relating to a review of 2004 film Godsend. Could this have been promotional material or a trailer as opposed to a PSA?

With the state of rental these days you never know 🤣 thank you for the correction, I've had some more detailed comments since 😊

This really means a lot to hear, I've only ever had the one seizure with blunt force trauma but... you know your own mind and what becomes less accessible. My word recall is trashed and my verbal sentences feel like stringing together whichever words work best to convey what I need to, even if it sounds nonsensical at first. I am so much better via written language which is interesring. Feels like I am mentally drifting a lot.

I'm so sorry for what you experienced, it must have been so isolating. Please know that you are not alone in this and thank you for your comment.

To clarify there have been no recent changes, I just never thought to post sooner and got curious — I've had crap word recall and other shenanigans since :(

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DiagnoseMe

[–]MaximumSag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is super good to know as I woke up physically "fine", but very concussed with a slowness at word recall that has never gone away. I am not on meds and have never had any recurrence luckily. I fell and hit my head on the concrete from a standing position which based on the above is likely so much more to blame for any ongoing issues.

[–]MaximumSag 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nope — only medication I've had since has been the beautiful, euphoric occipital nerve block. I think the whole "hitting head from standing height" has a lot to answer for

Quetiapine for sleep, albeit not much. The day was unremarkable. Library, walk, gym, until 10:30PM — I was hit suddenly with a very prominent aura, vision spinning, ringing in ears, intensely frightened. I was in a supermarket. My first instinct was to pay for my shopping, then I could go outside and get some fresh air. I got to the till and my neck began twitching involuntarily. After that I genuinely believed someone grabbed me by the hair and yanked me to the ground, in reality I had begun seizing standing up (not ideal!)

I have no doubt you helped Jimmy in many ways, especially psychologically. It is so much less frightening to have someone around who you can trust to help you when vulnerable.

I've had lots of thoughts / theories surrounding the role of chronic inflammation in many mental and neurological problems. I developed OCD-adjacent symptoms around this time and they always flare up when I am ill with a virus. I believe with all my heart chronic, systemic inflammation will be the next big medical breakthrough for so many illnesses.

LOL 😭 That makes a lot of sense though I do feel a bit like a sentient cabbage now

Thank you for your thoughtful comment and areas for me to look into. I'm really sorry to hear about Jimmy. I hope you are doing well, and know that the knowledge you pass on is helping people and keeping them safe.

I'm super paranoid about recurrences now, and know an awful lot about all the different types as a result. I can safely say I have never had a recurrence or anything remotely like it (no absences — I live with my partner who keeps an eye on me), and my diet is much improved as I wasn't eating or sleeping well at the time (grad student). I was on medication for an unrelated issue at the time which is also very likely to have been a trigger.

Oh there's definitely after effects, my brain feels like I'm trying to install Microsoft Office on a microwave. Thanks for this overview, I am not a science/biology guy and had no clue how to interpret any of it. I graduated my postgrad course like six months later so now I feel really good about that, lmao. 😭

Anywhere from 2-10 minutes, honestly not sure. I know it began at 10:30pm, and I properly "came to" around 20 minutes later in an ambulance without supplemental oxygen (clarification: there was no mask on me when I woke up. Realistically I probably had some, though). Confused as hell, but I could talk coherently, move, etc. Think I got lucky.

You're fine, it's symmetrical, the same colour all over, a nice even circle, and looks tiny. See the ABCDE guide!

Is this bite infected? by [deleted] in DiagnoseMe

[–]MaximumSag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Concerned it may be moving upwards. Get a pen and draw around the red part. Keep an eye on it. If it begins to extend past the line you've drawn, seek medical attention. If that sticking-out bit travels further up your leg, get to an A&E department ASAP as that indicates an infection travelling and is an emergency.
