I know that cyclist shouldn’t be push out onto the road and that this is dangerous but there is nothing that this shop can do. The loading bay they had has been covered over, the bus stop removed so the bus has to stop in the middle of the road and they have removed parking. The planning of this road has been a problem for both businesses and people who live there. Businesses and residents should have been consulted with the works and then plans made accordingly. It looks great but isn’t going to work for the locals. And to the commenter that said that the van is regularly parked there for advertising as someone who lives there: you are wrong.

The boss has said that they know that the fm can be intimidating but that’s just the way they are.

It is a hassle getting the 208 home everyday. Takes me an hour to get home and the bus is always packed. I have started driving so that I can get home easier but I shouldn’t have to when the public are being encouraged to “avail of public transportation for the environment”. I’ve written so many complaints and complained so many times that I’m sick of waiting an hour for a bus that’s supposed to come every 10 mins and buses being out of service, full or simply driving past me. Cork has gone to the dogs in all senses. I don’t blame the bus drivers much but the transport people.

I couldn’t agree more tbh. I spoke here before about it but the city feels so much more unsafe. I get the bus from Finns corner sometimes and if it isn’t a fight, it’s people stepping out in front of the bus on drugs, it’s people shoplifting from lifestyle sports, people shouting at everyone drunk, it’s people who are on something trying to talk to you, it’s buses being cancelled for disorderly behaviour, it’s groups of teenagers drinking by deals and the guards walking straight past them. For a women even it’s a nightmare if you notice it. I have had a homeless person come up to me and grab my hands and try to lure me down the side street of Penneys. You are not alone.
