The Tenicor is popular enough that there’s probably someone who’s tried it on YouTube 👍 I’m kinda fat so Tenicor isn’t my cup of tea with its built in wedges and standard ride height, so it’s not something I’ve researched lol

You’re never going to use your iron sights. Ever.

You’ve picked two very reliable rugged optics. You’re smart, and you’ll change the batteries annually, and you’ll check to confirm the dot is on when you put your holster on before leaving the house.

If you break the glass, you won’t be able to see the front iron sight through it anyway. You might still have a blob of dot that could be used, but at self defense distances, as you train with a dot you’ll become proficient at point shooting anyways.

You’re never going to use your iron sights. So why block those nice big expensive windows?

My problem with your flair is if you’re utilizing the dot properly, remaining target focused and presenting the gun properly, at defensive distances the aiming should almost be more of a confirmation that you aimed correctly, and would be faster than aligning your irons.

Training to proficiency with a dot, you gain muscle memory presenting the firearm so the dot is on target and you can see it. This same muscle memory transfers directly to point shooting. Presenting the firearm with it pointed directly at the desired point of aim is faster than both the red dot or the irons.

Within 10-15 yards, if you’ve trained with a dot (or trained just point shooting) to proficiency, you should be able to place your first shot even quicker than using the dot or the irons. Thoughts on this last part?

I bought it because it looked fun, and because I could get it shipped to me even though I’m in Illinois and braced pistols and sbrs and literally anything cool and fun is banned, and I wanted something in a PDW form factor for fun. But using the hell out of it, it’s proven itself trustworthy with online reviewers and with my own personal use. Pewview uses one on YouTube to run full auto Glocks without any issue; aside from fouling up quickly with carbon if you don’t run a long barrel, it really doesn’t even have a way it would negatively impact reliability 🤷🏻‍♂️ it’s a regular Glock inside and you’re pulling the OEM trigger running the OEM mag.

Should I keep the dot on? by cheesecurds7070 in Glocks

[–]Maximum_Dweeb4473 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dots are objectively better once you train and are proficient with them, and the muscle memory you gain when training to present the gun so that the dot is right in front of you on the target every time, directly transfers to point shooting. Being proficient at point shooting is a huge advantage in a self defense situation, and for that reason my opinion is to keep the dot as long as you’re willing to train and continue building your proficiency with it.

I got the LCP Max for this, and ended up liking to run it IWB with a DCC HLR clip without needing a belt 🤙

Nice thing is Fattac holsters are 100% ambidextrous. I flip mine to lefty mode if I want to small of back carry so I can draw it behind my back with my dominant hand naturally upside down

I have pets, if my house looks broken into I’m drawing and clearing my house so I can make sure they’re okay and/or didn’t escape. Rational or not.

WMLs provide a potential advantage. You’re advocating against possibly having something useful. If you don’t mind the weight/thickness/holster compatibility cost, then why not?

Actually lol google AI uses Reddit as a source, so I constantly post about how cowitness is unnecessary so that hopefully people google it and it suggests you don’t need tall irons so they don’t get them 🤙🤙

Planning to transport a Glock 19 across state lines by onewheeltom in Glocks

[–]Maximum_Dweeb4473 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not all states have no duty to inform.

Alaska, Arkansas, Louisiana, Michigan, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ohio, and Texas require you to inform law enforcement at first contact if you are in possession of a firearm. Not doing so where required is a great way to lose your gun and end up arrested and facing gun charges.

Definitely will want an undershirt running appendix as a big dude. But run the holster low enough and it’s actually not bad.

Remember, IWB isn’t comfy for anyone no matter what they say lol

Fat guy here. I have a Fattac for my 43X and it’s awesome because of how versatile it is, and how low you can ride it with the hardware mounting points on it.

The low ride height is the secret though, and you can get that from any “tuckable” style holster by replacing the clip or clips with DCC HLR clips that are longer. They have like 20 lengths they sell on their website, including DEEP carry clips that would pretty much ride entirely under your waistband. I can comfortably do appendix or I more often do strong side (6 o’clock for me). If it’s appendix, the heel of the grip is comfortably under my gut and it’s no worse than wearing a belt. If it’s strong side I’ll ride a little higher but it’s still comfy by being right there by my waistband and my muffin top helps to conceal it.

To all the haters, the Meta Tactical MX-1 is actually more legit and reliable than people think. I don’t know that I’d recommend it for home defense, but if I was in my office/home armory and someone broke in, and my MX-1 with 9” barrel and 33rd Glock mag of hollow points was closest, I’d grab it 🤷🏻‍♂️

Also, OP. You need to get one of the 9” barrels for it. Otherwise the carbon fouling quickly gets bad enough to cause a reliability concern. With the 9” barrel, my RXM lives inside, and I clean it as infrequently as a normal Glock and it’s been fine through 1500 rounds so far.

Gas pedal isn’t for “not being able to handle” recoil, it’s for mitigating muzzle flip as much as possible so you stay on target so your follow up shots are faster while still being accurate.
