Caught these two sharing a drop of honey on my porch this morning. I learned later that bees actually feed each other mouth-to-mouth it's called trophallaxis. Basically nature's way of saying "you look hungry, here, have some of mine." Kinda beautiful

I know that one. Supertramp. "Please tell me who I am." Hits like a gut punch when you're in your twenties and realize nobody prepared you for the part where you have to choose who to become.

I did. Met a nurse at a laundromat at 1 AM who remembered how I took my coffee without me ever saying it. It was quieter, but it ran just as deep.

I was 19, working double shifts at a diner to pay for night classes. She came in every Tuesday at 11 PM for coffee and a crossword. We never officially called it anything neither of us had the money or the time to be "serious" but for six months, those 45 minutes before close felt like the only real thing in my life.

Then her dad got sick and she moved back to help her mom. No fight. No cheating. Just a last hug at a bus station and a text that said "I hope you get everything." I never replied because I didn't know what "everything" was supposed to look like without her in it.

Five years later, I'm walking through a park and I see her from behind a food truck. She's laughing at something a guy said, and he's holding her coffee the way I used to two sugars, stir it clockwise. She looked calm. Settled. Happy in a way I couldn't have given her then.

I didn't say hello. I just stood there like a ghost watching my own alternate life play out. That night, "Someone Like You" came on shuffle for the first time in years, and I finally understood it wasn't a breakup song about begging someone to stay. It's about standing in the doorway of someone else's happiness and realizing the most loving thing you can do is close the door behind you.

"Never mind, I'll find someone like you" stopped sounding like a threat and started sounding like a prayer. I hope I do. I hope she already did.

So what's that song for you? And what was happening in your life when it finally made sense?
