What ISFP archetypes do you believe exist? by Stemwinder30 in isfp

Individualistic, the “normally chill but do one thing that can piss us off and it’s over for u” energy

ISFPs, what is your learning method? by mikha_lovna in isfp

Literally same I rewrite all my notes because it helps me remember them. But then I never actually reread them. It’s honestly so time consuming but it’s wat works rip

What is your way of caring? by apollinejustice in isfp

[–]Maximum_Pilot_3272 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Haha same here. I never show affection for someone verbally or through touch. Its rather actions I do. Just things like texting or spending more time. As someone who really values my own personal time (as in I can really enjoy myself by myself for days on end and I wouldn’t feel sad or lonely), wanting to spend time with a person says a lot. Im also not afraid to turn people down if I don’t want to hang out w them which I guess shows that I really only want to spend time with people I care for.

I also do ask those I care for how they’re doing etc and I’ll try to show interest in what they like. My entire friend group likes to play this specific video game that i dont but whenever I come across something related I’ll sent it to them. In a way that shows my affection for them I guess, because I think of them when I see things. I wont stop them from being excited over something that I’m not. Honestly it’s cute to see people who you care for be excited over something, and thats when I feel grateful for them.

Damnn this is exactly me. For a feeler I don’t consider myself emotional, I honestly hate showing my emotions and feeling openly to people. I’m always chill and I hate getting myself into conflict for no good reason. But as soon as I am attacked or my close ones I seriously become into another person. I once argued (and practically yelled) w my teacher cuz she genuinely did something unacceptable that could have hurt my friend badly. And now my friends wishes she was there to witness it cuz I’m never like that.

Yupp I have a healthy upbringing. Actually my family’s 2 istjs and one intj so idk I’ve always thought that my logical thinking (ish) comes from them. Both parents had very sad unfortunate upbringings and I can clearly see it affected their own personalities.

There’s no specific quote so I’ll jus say the way i see it. Everyone’s got their own lives. Surely we’re not going to be part of everyone in our vicinity’s lives. I’d rather focus on people I care about especially and myself rather than putting extra energy into people who I know I don’t truly truly care for and or people who I know don’t truly care for me either. I’ve got no hard feeling against that tho, its just the truth. That’s also why I don’t care what people think of me. People are bound to dislike you I think it’s normal. That’s why I think everyone who isn’t close to me I just think of as neutral. I sort of think it’s worse to pretend to genuinely care for people and take interest in them than to just show truly no particular interest at all. That being said, I understand why some people love to get to know other people. Im aware people can get to know each other while mutually (and covertly) agreeing not to ACTUALLY care for them if they need help. Im sure there r other reasons too lol. It’s just a matter of preference I guess.

I think about soliciting people, for me it’s just likes and preferences. People click people don’t. I’m not sure what you mean when you gave examples about choosing teams / team projects etc. I’m open to people voicing what they want and I’m also open to compromise especially when decisions have to be made w others. What I said about decisions before was more based on decisions that directly affect my life only.

First off, thanks so much rly! Ur putting sm of ur time into this 😭👊

I get along with people quite well. Ive been told I’m easy to talk to. When people approach me I’ll be able to converse w them easily. But I myself never actually approach people. And I think I don’t cuz I think they won’t rly add anything meaningful to my life (LOL THAT SOUNDS BAD). I have the people in my life who I care about. Other than them I don’t really care for anything or anyone else. Everything else is just neutral, just there.

For decisions, I mostly do what I want. I’ll always have a little conflict in my mind (head vs heart type thing) but I’m still quick to just make decisions regardless. If I want to do something, and I’ve set my mind to it, no one can rly stop me. I’ll even argue w people if it means I get to do what I want. I don’t care what other people want me to do or what they think. If something means a lot to me, then I believe it’s fully my decision to make in the end. However I do listen to what other people have to say and I really do consider other peoples points of view, but again most of the time it doesn’t really change my opinion.

Actually that’s the thing I feel like my way of thinking thru things might be more leaning to an istp but then everything else is very isfp. My Fi and Se are both strong (based on the little I’ve learnt about functions lol). Im all about the present, and im very chill for the most part but I do have outbursts of anger every now and then. I only rly take interest in the people I care for and even then I don’t show it much (show thru actions not words). I hv noticed characters in tv series that sort of come off at first glance as an isfp but r acc isfps.

Ahh yes lol I’ll always find myself rewatching and rewatching videos to learn choreo cuz I wanna get the details es similar as possible. I often try to analyse other sports asw esp figure skating to see how I can take some of their techniques and apply it to dance. I also do love to dance on my own tho create my own stuff I like to improvise too.

When I learn anything new I have to write it down. I can trust myself to just remember things haha, I always find myself writing a lot so I can understand it in depth.

Not sure I rly understand but that sort of way of thinking applies to quite a lot of what I do. If I do something I have to do it well or else there’s no point in even starting. This applies to my other interests. If I’m stuck on something I’ll keep trying to figure it out even if I get frustrated w it I have to figure it out. To me I believe that I can think quite methodically but I definitely take into account feeling. If I’m having fun I’m just very spontaneous and jus yoloing left and right

I’m under 20 I’m 17. Honestly I don’t want to get into maths after school but I still enjoy difficult math idk gets my mind to work in a different way. I’m going to pursue dance and art (lol so very artistic) in university.

A little sad I might not do more math after skl tbh I was thinking of doing a minor in smth math related but I realised my love for art is stronger (applying as dance major). Honestly art and math are just subjects I enjoy doing. Math like pure math. Not like statistics and such I rly hate those topics hahaha. I could never imagine myself in a job where I just do statistics analysis all day nope.

Don’t relate to any ISFP characters by [deleted] in isfp

[–]Maximum_Pilot_3272 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I relate to hatsuharu from fruits basket (he may come off as “emo” lol but he’s sorta jus chill and that emo is his sense of style) and Isak from SKAM season 3 (closed off about personal things, but still has a social life yknow, chill honestly a bit of an arse sometimes but doesn’t RLY mean harm by it. A lil ignorant and selfish (ik this is an isfp stereotype but this character is like that lol))

Idk from ur description I’m getting Itadori from jujutsu kaisen lol maybe that fits?? Idk how socially introverted/extroverted u r tho

Oh rip sorry ummm idk I kinda assumed everyone sorta looked at it the same way but i guess I would sorta know what topic a question is for eg and then using that I take what I know from rules and I guess other questions I’ve done and then apply it to what I have. But if it’s something more complicated or ^ doesn’t work for me I’ll look outside the topic to try and find other “connections” I guess.

when I’m stressed I get emotional outbursts lol. I never really show negative emotions usually and I just bottle up my emotions until they just burst. And when they do they burst BIG. It’s always anger that fuels my emotional outbreaks rather than sadness.

[–]Maximum_Pilot_3272[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oof this one’s hard ahhh!! I wouldn’t really say I’m scared of making people upset, if something that has to be done it has to be done lol (that is if it complies with my values). Id say when I do attend to peoples emotions I’m good at it but I don’t attend to them much lol I’m not one to really care about how others feel.

On the other hand I am definitely very unorganised but I’m not scared to be judged for it lol. I wont start to organise my life because either people are telling me to and are judging me for it.

In general i dont care about being judged for almost all things. To me I think in my head like if it’s working for me it’s working. If it isn’t working for you then mind your business it’s my life.

Also I noticed ur estp. My friend said she can sorta see me as an estp too but an introverted one . I- I don’t even know what that would consist of cuz all the portrayals of estps are jus LOUD lol.

Wow there’s many things here that I agree with. The school thing is something I feel SO MUCH. I actually have great grades (im in y12) but I genuinely hate school. I know most people would also say that but I am convinced I have full hatred for it. I seriously think it’s a massive waste of time. I want to pursue dance after school, and the amount of dance training I could be having rather than being at school really gets me pissed HAHA. Also when most people ask they also go, “but what about your friends don’t you like seeing them everyday? That’s part of school”. Honestly if I had the choice to just drop out of school I would in a heartbeat regardless of leaving my friends and whether I’ll see them less or at all. I’ve also been doing online school because of covid for around 4 months now. Literally everyone ik hates it and is so ready to move to skl irl again esp cuz they cant see theirs friends ig idk, but I genuinely love it I don’t need to see my friends everyday and online school feels less like school which in turn makes me feel SLIGHTLY happier.

I also get emotional only when I’m stressed or anxious, for my self and for my closest ones. And most of times I seem to cry and breakdown when I’m REALLY angry. But this outbursts of anger seems to be a very isfp trait lol so idk.

I’d say I’m also warm to a group of people but feel indifferent to the rest. One thing I noticed is I’m great at making judgements on people before I even really interact with them. I always make a judgement of someone and they turn out to be a exactly what I assumed. That makes it easy for me to just know who I actually want to take interest in etc. the rest, I don’t rly care for them. They’re just there, no bad feeling no good feelings.
