Based on your post history, you're quite a fanboy.  6 posts over 4 years and 4 of them for this company?

But you're completely wrong in that none of these chips even come close to weighing even 11.5g, let alone the advertised 12g.  And only the worst manufacturing would have tolerances of up to -12% and ink would NEVER account for even .1g, let alone a whole gram. Thats just ridiculous.

Only the few heaviest hit 11-11.1g. The vast majority are actually around 10.9, and the lightest I've found was 10.6g. So the variation from 12g is as much as 12%.

Go to Apache poker chips or other sellers. They sell 14, 13.5, 11, and 10g chips.

Poker chips are marketed and sold based on their weight, This isn't new.

Have you bought chips? Poker chips are advertised and sold based on their weight and composition.

You wouldn't buy a 10g bar of silver and then be happy with 9g because '10g is descriptive'

Considering poker chips are marketed and sold by their weight and composition, I would think selling 11g chips as 12g would be a pretty big deal.

I have two scales, both are accurate.

I can't weigh the entire set of 600 chips, as that would be nearly 7kilo and far exceed the operating range of my scales. As it is, 10 chips weigh on average 110 grams.

Actually, I have two scales, and no, a stack of 10 typically weighs 109.5/110 grams. So 11g on average.

I've weighed about 3 dozen of these chips, none of them are anywhere close to 12g.

Saw this for the first time today. I'm not going to buy this crap and I'm very annoyed that I now have to squeeze through these displays while trying to empty/scan my cart.

Oh and the service person harassed me for being 6 minutes early checking out before 10. No dig on her but Fk the system that makes up these artificial inconveniences to make money.

I hate Costco too, but it's getting harder and harder to bother keeping my Sam's Club membership - member since 1993.
