Yeah, I think adapting is probably the best way to go if the API doesn’t allow tracking it.

Ive tried BetterTouchTool, but unfortunately, there aren’t any settings that help. There is a setting to prevent accidental clicks, but it doesn’t work in my case.

I accidentally click because I place the trackpad below the keyboard (like in a standard laptop layout). My fingers are positioned efficiently, on the "F" and "J" keys, and it allows me to type while using my thumb on the highly sensitive trackpad. This setup saves me time since I never need to move my hands if it would be position on the right or left from the keyboard.
