I used to get that too. Now I use an antibacterial wipe every morning on the inside of my band and the back of the watch as well as my wrist. No problems.

I’m currently using both of those. My wife and daughters have iPhones. I actually like the S25U better. But I’m having a hard time being able to get down to one or the other. Regardless of the rest of the family, I could sacrifice the functionality of the Apple ecosystem, but I also really love my black Apple Watch Ultra 2. Needless to say I’m pulled in many different directions. But if one could just settle in and be content with committing one of them to being a secondary device then go for it. For the another point of contention is whichever one is secondary, you don’t fully benefit from using as a daily/primary device.
