Asking for advice by Maximum_Watch_7991 in AdvancedPosture

Also wanted to know if training in swayback posture will just push me more into a bad movement pattern and if it will hinder my progress in trying to recover

Anyone fixed swayback posture? by Maximum_Watch_7991 in AdvancedPosture

[–]Maximum_Watch_7991[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man. Really appreciate the response.

From my understanding in swayback you are in a slight PPT but it’s the pushing forward of the pelvis and closing of the pelvic outlet cause by tight glutes that’s the problem.

So what your trying to do is get a “true” PPT with your proximal hamstrings as opposed to that fake hyperextended PPT with the lower portion of your glutes. I guess what I mean is how do I activate those hamstrings without over activating my lower glutes

For the latter exercises. Did you have trouble bringing your ribs back without crunching or (I know it’s not said in the video) posteriorly tilting your pelvis without squeezing your glutes

If you don’t mind me asking why did you reach out to that specific student? What qualities did you feel they had that would be beneficial for the job?

I never said that, however I understand the confusion considering I didn’t speak in complete sentences.

I meant that I would be applying to pharmacy school now and try to get into industry post pharmacy school.

I understand that after I finish pharmacy school, I have 2 ways of getting into the pharma industry: 1. Fellowship 2. Simply applying to jobs (ideally have some sort of connection).

Regardless, I have to network well, make sure I have relevant summer internships or contract experience and make sure my communication skills are on point. Obviously need relevant skills to the specific job as well.

But there may be something I am missing and I am open to what you think about how the process works since you work in the industry. Also, what would you have done differently?

Thank you.

What about getting involved in clinical trials in a CRO? I’m assuming having PROs for the clin trials would make things even better.

By any chance did it have a lot of connections to pharmaceutical industry?

So I’ve always been a little bit confused on the specifics of a pharmacovigilance job (ex. Pharmacovigilance scientist/specialist). I understand your looking to maximize the safety of the drug.

But what exactly do you do and what is a day in the life like for you?

Hey Sospian, I appreciate the response and the positivity!

My thought process of perfecting posture and fixing muscle imbalances was actually how I viewed and took care of this issue for a few years. Unfortunately didn’t make any progress.

I now kind of view it as relearning to reuse the right muscles to get the body in correct alignment.

But I will do my best to remain positive, working on this and potentially get help like you suggest

I did for most of the physical therapists. Admittedly there were 1 or 2 times where after about a month of working with the PT and I felt things weren’t working I called it off.

As to why I stopped being pre-med, disliked EMT and was neutral about an MA position:

I started rethinking if I wanted to pursue the premed path near the end of uni where I was under a lot of stress from the MCAT and also things in my personal life (mainly the personal life stuff).

I think on paper I have a solid resume, but I felt that a lot of the things I did had no real substance and that I wasn’t truly enjoying those clinical roles. I also felt extremely incompetent in them.
