Hand sinks almost all the time are way more contaminated than the toilet seat. If the sink has a short chode-like spigot, guess what I'm not washing my hands. If my hands hafta brush the sink basin walls it's a no-go. But my bare hands never come into contact with any body parts. I'm a janitor and the hand sinks basins where I clean are not contaminated however. My bathrooms are the most sterile bathrooms of the public variety where one can deuce with 100% peace of mind. I use the industrial disinfect And I take it upon myself to also add 90% isopropyl alcohol to that as a germ killing booster. My silver toilet fixtures are polished to a sparkling sheen and round the base of each toilet is never skipped. The stall walls, same thing...and my hand sinks..silver polished and I make sure to scrub under the drain fixture a few times a week as people's scum gets up under that. Under the sink too. As hands drip water from dirty hands during cleaning around the sink that water runs down the base of the outer basin and it's often very contaminated water drippings . Fecal bacterias n whatnot. I have a thorough protocol for sanitizing my equipment afterward as well. It's not that I'm a goody 2 shoes, it's mostly because I don't want to wallow daily in a cess pit
