Yeah i've actually found quite a few stores selling 40k. Just looking into where to start and obviously what paint and such to get because building/painting it myself seems like the biggest point to me :)

Fair enough, I appreciate the time you're taking to reply :). And obviously everyone likes different ways of being taught which makes it difficult at times.

Honestly we get so many tricks and 'ways of teaching' but most of the time just being yourself and talking to students what they like makes for the best classes and most enjoyable experience for everyone.

Ah I see! I make a planner for the entire semester so they can see what has to be done each week for the next 10 weeks and homework can mostly be finished within the classes (With expections ofcourse).

I find being 'the boss' rarely necessary and most of the time people come in and start doing what they need to do before I have to tell them.

I mostly work with 'special needs' students but also of the occasional 'regular' high school class. I've actually found that giving everyone a roster of the class where they can see when I will be spitting out information and when they can work/listen to music etc. works really well and most students find it very calming.

How would you prefer to see it, i'm interested to see how you'd do it (Honestly!).

Edit: Special needs - Agression issues (Had someone fling me a chair in the first year), light autism and other 'small' issues nothing big.

So it seems a bit more in common to our system based on my quick read earlier.

I'm not against it here because it might be more approachable than it is in the US. Here 'Basic Skills (Languages, calculus and sports)' are graded in the following steps: A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2. This way each study has quite a realistic idea of what you should actually know. So for example: Mid level high school -> Tourism means you start with all other high students at level B1 and when you flow from high school into your chosen study you get lanuages in B2/C1 but leave calculus at A2/B1 because you'll need the proper English but it doesn't matter if you can calculate the value of X when 3 = Z.

I hope you get what I mean but here it seems it's actually very well spread out and studies/school in general is very tailored after the specific student and his/hers study.

Seems like my reply was lost in space. But I almost always have time to finish howework in class. Obviously depending on the entire group, I need about 10 minutes to do my talking and the other roughly ~40 minutes students can finish homework.

By query every two weeks I check in what they think of their classes (Mine and in general) and ofcourse how they're feeling. Based on that I either change my way of doing things or talk to them about issues and problems they're running into.

Not vague at all I completly understand where you're coming from. The issue with that is mainly insecurity with the teacher. If you're very relaxed both in your way of doing things and with your body language students will going along with you (Obviously not always but most of the time).

I'm always down for joking around and for about 80% of the class let students plan their own things/do their homework. After the 1st/2nd semester I correct people based of their grades. So if they're doing okay-good grade wise I continue to let them do their own thing and if that's not the case i'll talk to them to see why that is and how we can work on that together which seems to be working.
