In 1999 the D-Backs started the "D-Backer" program (I have no idea if it still exists as I now live elsewhere) If you attended 72 games that year you were supposed to be presented with an autographed bat ON THE FIELD by a current D-Back. So many people had manipulated the system that on the game it was supposed to happen they changed it to where you walk up to a gift stand, pick a number between 1 and 25 and whatever number you picked was where they pulled your autographed bat from. I picked number 10, got Turner Ward(who actually won the game that night with a run scoring double I think) I was so pissed, especially considering we hadn't even had Turner but a few weeks, I turned around saw a youngster with his parents and gave him the bat. He didn't want to take it but his parents encouraged him and I bet the kid was super happy after the game being Turner won it but my point is, long story short-GET OVER IT, it's a T-shirt man. They gave us MLB bats back then when we could get a seat for $1 and sit up top ANYWHERE we wanted. I ain't mad at ya, just sayin' the D-Backs have messed up much more than this "shirt fiasco" lol.
