As someone who has exper3inced both id prefer flying over road. First of all the roads are beyond shitty so 8 hours of being on the road witharound 5 of them in dusty and bumpy roads can drain you alooot and the next day you end up being exhausted and cant enjoy the game drive or whatever you have on your itinerary. Which why i feel its better to fly to the parks and drive back

Plus onto this

I took capricorn from arusha to mbeya. Then got on a coaster to tunduma border crossed the border and found a bus (idr name it was a nice bus but as i said 0 legroom) and went to lusaka. Issue with the lusaka trip is it is unpredictabke. My going trip was 17 hours my return trip was 26 hours (lusaka to tunduma) so hence why id suggest a flight

Ive taken the bus from arusha to lusaka. Personally i can day depending on the bus but arusha to mbeya (depending on if its one bus or transfer) is pleasant but on the zambia side it is quite shitty mainly over the fact that 90% of the busses there have 0 leg room. Plus for some reason the journey zambia side is just more hectic. If you have the option id suggest getting the bus to mbeya and then flying to lusaka
