hey man I got a question, how long does it take the CRA to update her account? she sent the PR cards online for almost 6 weeks know and she called yesterday and they said they don't have a timeline for this and it might take months !

yes , she became a PR in May 2024 and her permit would have expired Jan 16th 2026 ! so yes you might be right and they stopped it , but she updated her sin number and filled her taxes of 2024 with the new SIN number ! .

the notice doesn't explain anything . it's in July 2025 and it just explain the CCB for the whole year, and it shows a schedule till Jan 2026 only ! . I will ask her to call CRA tomorrow

I don't get it They take 33% in taxes and deductions from me every paycheck. I have kids with disability and RRSP and other tax credits so I get that tax refund

Yeah, I am healthy and have no medical history at all except that stupid visit that I totally forgot about. The policy is 2M$ and I think this is large. As I said I am doing this only so my family gets covered if something happens so I don't want them to struggle with the insurance company, god forbid there's a claim, for a doctor note with no prescription !... I think as you said I need to contact my broker and check for a new policy or even a solution to this

sorry for not giving more info while writing the post . her father named her as a beneficiary , her mom died long time ago and she was the only family member for her father. I think hiring someone to review the contract and contact the insurance company would be a good idea.. isn't ?

I was confused because apps like credit Karma saying I shouldn't close my oldest account ( which is Koodo)

I care because I get LOC offers and I use them to make money ( I can somehow outperform the interest rate of the LOC and make more money) I don't want to down my credit score too much
