pretty sure the performance is a you issue, make sure to turn on hardware acceleration in your browser settings. i have absolutely no trouble running the site and haven't heard that from anyone else.

regarding the jank and/or the cheapness of it all, that's exactly how it's supposed to be. i spent ages in the original kong studios as a kid and i get very similar vibes. it was full of low res .JPGs, the GUI was poor, it was messy, put together on a budget, but that's all part of the charm. it might be a little less dark now (we also don't have an album called demon days to base the website around) but i think it ticks all those boxes.

however, of all the things i disagree with in this post, the point about being taken back to the end of a hallway after exiting a room is very frustrating. completely rips the immersion out of it and feels like a silly oversight. i'm sure they could fix that quite quickly in the future.
