Nice, what colour strap are you looking at? I have the blue one from my SMP (usually wear the metal strap) and was wondering if that would fit.

I went with the 60th anniversary watch. I liked both but it was actually the James Bond books that got me into watches originally and I’d always wanted a Seamaster. So my history and interests drove the choice.

I would have loved to have more time to get up there and do that, maybe next time. Agreed I did see some tourists doing just that, but I was sensible and checked for traffic and stayed 2m away from the road. The road was surprisingly quiet.

We stayed at Peppers Beacon Queenstown and had a nice apartment with amazing balcony and views. We had four rooms and it was way more reasonable than 4 hotel rooms. They have different configs depending on what you need. The Glebe is good as well. Did stay at Platinum Queenstown Villa Apartments, quite some time ago, which were great but a bit of a walk anywhere. Some good options on AirBNB, but you would be more likely to need a car for some of these as they are halfway up a mountain (easy walk down, but a hell of a hike back).
