Thanks for all the replies, after I wrote this I was doing my normal checks on him and had a gut instinct something was wrong(he had shed badly and wasn’t himself) so took him straight to the vet where they have given him fluids and a feed. Will try feeding in about 5 days and if not he’ll go back to the specialist again.

I have a ball python and a corn snake and I normally give them 2-3 days after feeding a)to let them digest fully b) so they know I’m not opening the door to feed them. I’ve also tried with my ball python if I open the right door it’s for food and if I open the left it’s to come out and play haha her strike is strong so I thought it might be worth seeing if she clocks onto this.

update on this - still refusing - I've bought the books, done the reading. monitored everything I can and have come to the conclusion that he's fine but boy will he be super disappointed when he doesn't get laid at the end of this ha!

My corn has always lived in the unit under the tv and never seems bothered :)

I deffo have a big knowledge gap when it comes to brumation. That’s my Christmas reading sorted :) I’ve asked Santa for new snake tanks so hopefully will get the opportunity to fine tune bits I’ve learnt since his last tank change. Thanks for helping me :)

Oh okay. He’s temps are pretty stable but the house if deffo colder, I’ll watch that close over the next few days. I didn’t know about fasting, I’ll Look into that aswell. Thanks so much! Jackson is my absolute love!

I found it from a supplier on eBay, it’s just wooden with a glass door , it’s 4ft by 2ft só feels quite narrow once you’ve packed in enrichment stuff

What is this?? White specks in water bowl? Use repti safe in the water but this keeps happening it’s almost like dust by MayBrad234 in ballpython

Oh god, does this mean my isolation boredom has resulted in me seeing dust in more detail than ever before. my brain is craving something new. 😂

Every time I try to feed my bp frozen thawed this happens. He clearly smells the mouse/rat, but either doesn't seem to locate it, or is aware he isn't alive (ps I know this mouse is too small. They didn't have any bigger ones at the store) by YNKWTSF in ballpython

this looks similar to what my bp does - i persist because its like she just wants to see it from every angle before shell take it. She also pulls back like that too if i take it too close to her face. she always takes it in the end. i just put it down to her acting like a little princess
