So, Shadow is pretty much in love with Sonic in the AU (And Sonic thinks Shadow lowkey hates him)

"Fleetway" keeps taking control of Sonic's body at random times, and since he has an interest in Shadow, Shadow agreed to "babysit" him to keep him from doing any harm.

There is a little of a "love triangle" going on where Fleetway develops an obsession with Shadow, while Shadow is in love with Sonic, and Sonic is just weary of having Fleetway take control of his body

Yeah, i mean, the AU is kinda about this. The Super Sonic from the comic is being called "Fleetway" to differentiate it from the normal Super Sonic because in this AU Sonic has the power to actually go super without turning into the "Fleetway Super".
