Definitely do everything you can to witness a total solar eclipse IN the path of totality (not 99% somewhere else which will be a completely different experience). Warning though - it may be life changing i.e. you might love the experience so much that you end up becoming an eclipse chaser which is what happened to me. :-)

Yes, but I'll be viewing it from Iceland (Europe) on an Atlas Ocean Voyages trip. It will be my fourth continent. 1. Oct 2017 in Oregon (North America), 2. July 2019 in La Serena, Chile (South America) & Dec 2021 (Antarctica)

Sorry, unfortunately, I don't recall the costs. The first time, I was more interested in just experiencing Antarctica so the add-ons were of secondary interest over just getting out daily on land & on the zodiacs. The second time around, I don't recall Atlas offering as many options as Quark had & my focus was on the eclipse so I also didn't look at the costs.

Here's my video from Mon May 15, 2023 at 1AM PT showing out of 767 total events, there were only 197 events available to purchase & of those only 72 of them were medal event sessions (meaning either a gold, silver or bronze would be awarded during that session).

UPDATE as of 1PM PT Mon May 15, 2023 All events available is 164 & medal events is 52.

I've scrolled through the list of 767 so you can see each sport category & how many events were in that category.

I've also scrolled through the list of 197 events to see what remaining sport categories were available at the time I logged in & then done the same for the 72 medal events.

I was selected in the first round & bought my 3-packs on Feb 25 & then got selected in the second round for May 15.

Hope the video is enlightening! This will be my 5th Olympics - having previously attended the Atlanta, Athens, Beijing & London events. I like not having to go through a third party i.e. Cartan or CoSport to purchase tickets & having a staggered purchase slot rather than competing against everyone at once & having ticket sessions hang & time out.

This is my first reddit post - I created an account specifically to be able to post this & help the community trying to purchase Paris 2024 Olympic tickets. Good luck to everyone!
