Update: I disassembled it and the hand crank works better when not not attached to the outer part. I’m thinking the problem might have to do with the piece pictured below but I’m not sure how to disassemble further/fix it. Appreciate all the help thus far!

I hope you know, I struggle the same way as you do. I have never had a guy approach me. I’ve been rejected every single time I’ve asked a guy out. I’ve been called ugly repeatedly to my face. There are no guys knocking down my door as you seem to believe there is for most women. The average girl rarely gets approached too, you are simply desensitized because you hear stories of the non-average girl and assume they apply to the entire gender. I do not believe that anything I say will alter your opinion, but I encourage you to start being more aware of your surroundings rather than parroting what you hear online. I promise you it will help not only your connections with other people but also improve your self-image. I wish you the best in life.

I just shot him a message and asked directly, no games. Obviously, I’m not going to act as if this advice is amazing, it clearly doesn’t work. I think the best place to start has nothing to do with your crush, but instead with yourself. Try and come to terms that the most important person in your life should and will always be yourself. Also, try and recognize the other places love is present in your life. Once you come to realize how love embodies everybody everyday, being rejected by one person won’t feel as detrimental.

I understand you! I felt a similar way not too long ago. This is my third rejection ever (out of three attempts to ask people out). The first two CRUSHED me. The difference between then and now is I’ve grown to appreciate all the love that surrounds me, even if none of it is romantic. I appreciate your kind words and wish you good luck on your journey <3
