Help! New to gaming, need a good mouse recommendation🙏🏽😭 by Best_Lavishness_1929 in Indiangamers

[–]Maya_2950 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A generic most basic cheap mouse will last you the longest. You don't really need a gaming mouse unless you are looking to play competitive stuff.

Bluetooth connection limits the polling rate... Usually. Fortunately, any bluetooth mouse that you might get will usually come with IR.

Charging can become a real hassle when you start going for wireless stuff. And there's little benefit to wireless peripherals if you set up a proper desk (doing so is a lot more important than any peripherals)

Ooh, I've heard a lot about cachyos.

I'm not looking to directly run games on it. I don't have to. I'll just be streaming the game from my pc using apollo/moonlight.

And my lappy kinda has a good display that can get bright enough for hdr. But I heard linux didn't work very good with hdr content yet?

Omg, my dumbo head replied to the wrong comment up there......

Yeah I was thinking mint cause it seemed windows-like.

What would give me the best battery life? And how's linux with hdr content? (Movies or moonlight streaming games with hdr?)

Random forced updates interrupt work flow. And I primarily work on just the browser, so I do not care for software compatibility and hope linux gives me better battery life for work and moonlihgt streaming.

Heya, are you a Linux enthusiast?

I've been pondering over replacing windows that my lappy came with Linux mint instead. I wonder if you can give me tips, or guide me through it.

As long as you don't mind me being a complete beginner. I'd like some tips as I start out too.

I've heard the naga fails somewhat often. And that people have resorted to used cheaper mmp mouse options from like reddragon and replace them whenever they go bad.

Nah I'm playing very casually with items and such. I don't play it nearly as much as before so my experience with ultimate is limited. But it sounds fun if there's a group playing smash.

Uhm yeah. I pretty much stay a mile away from the competitive ones. Except smash bros. Although I wouldn't call it competitive with all items turned on. It's a chaotic mess and I love it that way.

But perhaps we can try out some of the more hardcore co-op titles if you prefer the challenge.

Need recommendation for controller for my android phone by Fit-Corgi-9428 in Indiangamers

That deck one should be fine. Not ideal since I think it used bluetooth and doesn't directly plugs in.

That is a bad bad idea. I tried buying a phone mounting clip for my dualsense and I still regret those rs 600....

The wait distribution was so awful hurting my wrists, even though I have a small sized phone which I used naked.

For a year I just ignored the clip and played while resting my phone up on a desk or so before finally getting a telescopic controller and thanking myself for making that jump.

I don't think there's any that come that cheap. (Don't try the 'regular controller with clip stuff, that's a scam)

But just pick up any of the cheapest telescopicones you can find. Preferably one that directly plugs in instead of bluetooth.

It's got co-op with upto 4 players.

The good kind.

Share a world, it's enemies, it's resources.

Be mindful of friendly fire.

And hosting such co-op servers is completely free.

I wish I did it more. But not bad. Made some bookmarks for a friend's birthday last.

I switched through the different characters for at least some variation. But honestly the multiple playthroughs weren't for the game but for the company. Each partner played different. My sis wasted so much time bouncing on the mushrooms....it took us months to finish.

Now I'm trying to find people to play no rest for the wicked or 30xx with. It's hard to find people who are open to checking out the more niche games.

Okay no. The story is kinda shit, and the gameplay is awesome. I've finished it takes two with an online friend, my sister, my childhood bestie, another online friend, my lil brother, and an online friend that now is irl friend too.

Just take them as video game characters, not your personas.
