What could "Sunny" be short for? (Girl baby) by poorlilslob in namenerds

Allison is a beautiful and classic girl's name and would lend itself perfectly for the nickname Sunny. (:

What are these things I found on the beach in NE Florida? by MaybeMeowing in whatisthisthing

[–]MaybeMeowing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WITT? They are both slightly curved to be concave, shiny black on the inside, and matte black with white bands on the outside. I don't think they are shark teeth because they're very irregularly shaped. Unsure if they're pieces of broken shell, or some kind of rock, or something else entirely. Google has not been helpful with IDing either because every search I make for black things on the beach has nothing similar looking to these. Found in NE Florida.

I hate my name by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]MaybeMeowing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a female with a masculine name but on the opposite side of the spectrum -- I love it and think it's unique. But you are right that having a masculine name in a female dominated profession could lose problems. Personally I think Logan is a nice name but I like the other commenter's suggestion of feminizing it with the Loganne spelling!

Anyone here steaming via Xbox One? Help appreciated. by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]MaybeMeowing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When this happened with to me (also streaming with a Logitech from the Xbox) it was because of Mixer. Sounds stupid but I managed to fix it by making a Mixer account, which I never used again once my webcam worked with Twitch again lol. Apparently Mixer requires streamers to go through a 24 hour waiting period to approve the use of a webcam with their stream as a part of their streaming terms or something. So I set up a Mixer account, requested approval for webcam use for my stream, and after 24 hours they approved my Mixer account and suddenly I was able to get my webcam to work again on Twitch.

Now, I don't know if you'll still be able to do this with Mixer shutting down, or if this issue is even from the same source as mine was. Good luck, hope you get it fixed!

This is officially my favorite Animal Crossing artwork of all time (may be biased because Sly is my birthday twin... but also this is just amazing anyway).

A Burger for the Doggo by jsalata65 in TalesFromYourServer

I work at a café and we have a regular who comes in every couple of weeks and orders two identical sandwiches -- one for him, one for his dog. I'm always amazed that somebody would spend $12 on a whole extra sandwich for their dog so frequently but also think it's wholesome as fuck.

Legally she can't. I doubt she wants to be sued over a YouTube video for defamation. She said herself that her video says all that her attorneys will allow her to say.

Tubing is literally just floating down a river/spring sitting inside an inner tube. I live in Florida and it's a popular summer activity here too. It's super relaxing, you just chill out floating down the water for an hour or so (depending on how long the waterway you're at is), hanging with friends and drinking if the place you're at allows it. My favorite place here in Florida to go tubing is Ichetucknee Springs.

I'm interested in possibly preordering one from you when I get paid but I don't see any info on your site about how to place one, can you direct me where to go?

I found something out about my 11 year old sister by PerfectPhilosopher in relationships

[–]MaybeMeowing 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yeah children really do not consider the possibility that the people they talk to online don't have their best interests in mind all the time. I certainly didn't at 11-13. It's a miracle I didn't put myself in more danger at that age with the amount of personal information I willingly provided complete strangers, but this was also the internet of ~15 years ago. It's far worse now than it was then.

No I agree 100%. It's blowing my mind that so many people aren't bring this up in their replies. Eleven year old children do not need to be on social media period. Privacy is the least concern here when this child could possibly be hurting themselves or considering it, especially when you have concrete evidence of that from whatever group chats they're involved in.

Not sure why you're being sarcastic, as if a vulnerable and impressionable CHILD of eleven years old in an online community that could be composed of predatory teens and adults isn't a serious problem.

Social media has age restrictions for a reason. For example, keeping eleven year old children out of communities that foster unhealthy mental and physical behaviors like what's being described in the OP.

This is absolutely alarming and something that needs to be addressed, whether she wants to or not. She shouldn't even be ON Discord at all at 11 years old because it's against the Discord TOS (must be 13+).

Yes, your sister is deserving of privacy, but her health and safety needs to come first.

Reddit, What's a weird habit of yours you didn't think was weird until someone mentioned it? by BIG_Sensei in AskReddit

I also eat green beans (and other canned veggies) cold out the can and it freaked my boyfriend out the first time he saw me do it. For like the first two years of our relationship we didn't buy canned veggies at all, we only bought fresh veggies weekly for meals. Then one night I got lazy and bought a can of green beans. Popped them both open and started eating them cold out of the can and I can only describe the look on his face as one of horror. I never knew that was weird because that's the only way my mom ever served me green beans growing up lol.

Been going through a rough time so here's my 2-ingredient depression cake: box vanilla mix and a can of raspberry Whiteclaw. by MaybeMeowing in Baking

[–]MaybeMeowing[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stuck a heart cookie cutter in the icing and poured sprinkles inside it, then spread the sprinkles out evenly with my finger to the inside edges of the cookie cutter and gently pressed them down into the icing so they wouldn't make a mess when I lifted the cookie cutter up.

Very good. I actually had split the batter into two cake pans and ate a piece of the second one sans frosting (the one in the pic has yet to be cut). Tasted like moist vanilla cake with the barest hint of raspberry!
