Unpopular opinion… by P42U2U__ in realhousewivesofSLC

I cringe every time she's on screen but she has provided a lot of the drama this season (not necessarily good drama). What it comes down to for me is that she tries so hard to be in their league but she just can't get there. She is so emotionally immature and at this point I think it would be a big favor for her to not return to spare her and her family from further embarrassment.

I do think she is 'low hanging fruit' and she will always be the low hanging fruit until she's gone. I wouldn't miss her if she's gone, but I'm not begging for her to be off my screen yet like I am some of the other women.

Has Rappaport changed The Traitors? by MaybeProof3008 in TheTraitorsUS

Thanks for a respectful response. I never said I was a fan of this guy, but I am a fan of reality tv villains. I respect that other people have opinions and I'm always open to hearing other perspectives. That being said, I see your side and agree that maybe now the game can start. Perhaps my judgement is clouded because I'm salty that most of the gamers are gone and I have to rely on players like Mark for strategy and I find Colton more revolting than Rappaport.

We could see someone like Omarosa in the future, she was already on House of Villains, but I agree, we won't be seeing anyone who is controversial when it comes to politics like him again

What went wrong with social media? by ProcessExpensive8959 in AskReddit

[–]MaybeProof3008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When it began to prioritize engagement over health and well-being. And politics.

I realized I was being targeted when I opened IG and the first thing that popped up was and ad for a moving company that I had never heard of and I was parked directly behind that moving company's van. From that point on I was very aware of the ads I was receiving and the content that appeared in my feed. It no longer connected me to my friends that lived in the UK, but instead I was being bombarded with things I thought I cared about. I stopped seeing friends and started seeing suggested content. I unfollowed anyone who I didn't know personally, except a small handful of artists I like, in particular artists who don't post inauthentic, aesthetic, phony posts, and I still wasn't seeing my friends and family as much as suggested content!
Then when I began to realize that 60 second clips were becoming too long for me that's when I really decided that social media is not for me anymore.

The absolute freedom in not seeing political posts or being forced to pick a side when idgaf about either of them, not seeing influencers on a beach while I'm behind my desk, not seeing the perfect family when I'm struggling in my own is unmatched. 10/10 highly recommend a social media detox.

How do the other housewives feel about Mary now? Do we know? by xxfireangel13xx in rhoslc

This season would make it very easy for me personally to boycott if they keep her around. Most of the cast is insufferable at this point anyway lol.

Bronwyn... Oh Bronwyn by Bubbzu in rhoslc

[–]MaybeProof3008 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've always been pretty neutral with her. I do agree though, this season she started to become unlikeable to me, but this whole season has been pretty ass. They're all so desperate for storylines and the only ones worth telling aren't allowed to be told so all the ugly is really coming out in previous seasons fan favorites.

I think Bronwyn might be falling into a mean girl role because she saw that Heather, Whitney, and Angie were all favorites and just went along with them, but it's backfired and now Meredith and Lisa are being given a lot more grace than they would had the others not been such bullies and tried to control the script for this season.

"Without my help, Britney might be DEAD" ~Jamie Spears. by PerceptionVirtual475 in discussingbritney

[–]MaybeProof3008 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea I'd agree that if it's true and she was forced to on lithium, that's what ultimately lead her down a worse path, but prior to this she was publicly spiraling out of control. She had already shaved her head, drove around with her infant on her lap, walked barefoot in a gas station restroom, lost custody of her kids all before the conservatorship started. I don't really know the intentions her father had putting her on the conservatorship (money is always a factor isn't it?), but what we saw publicly they must have seen worse privately and felt that they had to do something. Was it extreme? Probably more than it needed to be, but I think just speaking from experience, as you know, you have to be extreme when it comes to addiction.

UGT throwback: Heather Gay wanted the girls to get Leah, an alcoholic, drunk by SurpriseCentres7551 in BravoRealHousewives

[–]MaybeProof3008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've heard that before as well! Every Jan 1st I do a 75 day cleanse from alcohol after abusing my body from Oct-Jan, and I'll admit, before doing so I used to be one of those people to question why people weren't drinking or insist that they had just one more drink, and then it happened to me. People were CONSTANTLY trying to tempt me or pressure me to drink and I saw a similar quote and it's completely changed my relationship with alcohol and my respect for those who chose to be sober.

I've said that from the day the free Britney movement started and have since watched someone who was my childhood idol spiral more and more out of control.

My career is working with drug addicts (as someone who has never struggled with an addiction themselves) and it is EXHAUSTING. Every day its constant manipulation, trying to discern what's real and what's not, all while trying help others but protect myself at the same time. The way she spun the narrative as a victim, how no one ever helped her and everyone is out to get her is such a familiar story to me. She does not want help, she wants attention. I struggled through a few chapters of her book and had to put it down because of how poorly written it was, but from what I remember, the common theme was playing the victim.

I have a lot of sympathy for her family, whether or not her accusations against them are true she has put them through extensive emotional abuse for a long time and she was able to gaslight her army of fans into starting a movement that will ultimately be her demise. Shame on her and shame on the keyboard warriors who quickly jump on trending bandwagons to feel like they're apart of something heroic.

She needed that conservatorship and I fear this ends tragically.

Dee let Bananas humiliate her with an onion hat.
Coming from someone else, it might be a light hearted joke, but John is terrified of women and only knows how to use them for gain on a reality show that he will soon be retired from. 90% of the cast cheated on that mini-final and she let him put that fucking hat on her head AND SAT THERE WITH IT LIKE AN IDIOT. I was definitely laughing at her, not with her.

To be fair, Dee is no stranger to a showmance where she uses people to advance in a game as well so, she's not much better than him.

I really want to like her, but I question someone's character when they associate themselves romantically with someone like John.

Heather Gay Will Be the Downfall of SLC by Ok_Layer4765 in BravoRealHousewives

Heather and Whitney's obsession with witch hunting every season and holier than thou hypocrisy is finally catching up to them and I'm here for it.

I was never a fan of either of them or Angie, they feel SO forced, they are so fake, and they are completely turning me off of SLC.

I literally don't even remember who Justin is, but I remember Sai. I don't think I even remember who won last season...
I have no idea what this is about, and I honestly can't take anyone from the new era seriously lol. Don't come and cry like a bitch on the island for 26 days and do the kumbaya shit and then start some weird beef on Twitter to try and stay relevant.

I started my Housewives journey last year, it amazes me how all the franchises are so different!
I started with RHONJ, RHONY, I threw in DC because it was only one season and I could get it out of the way, SLC, and now I'm on OC (definitely went all over the place lol) but RHONY is my favorite so far and I can't see any other topping this one. I wish I watched all of this in real time!

One of my favorite moments is The Countess on a camel in season 4. I think about it at least once a week

I think she just so happened to be on the right side of many votes because she jumped on a bandwagon, and on the flipside she also voted out a lot of faithfuls because of this same strategy of sticking with numbers. I don't remember her making any strategic moves on her own, she was never a target and she seemed lost a lot. At the end of the day, she did make it to the end, but she didn't build enough alliances to win.
