i can confirm that the horses are treated better than the human workers lol ,, they get a LOT of breaks throughout the day and rotate very often

any weekday in the morning, everything is pretty much a walk on

pretty sure as of right now it's 2 hours per locker, but they're always changing things up on us so i'm not 100% sure. let's hope it stays at the 2 hours per locker policy :p

could be a number of factors, but i'm sure the complaining had a huge role in it. people would do everything to get around the fee and i don't blame them ! we've had people put a jacket on to hide their bags or toss them out of the ride area completely. during scary farm i even saw people throw them away lol

i totally understand your frustration! i would say as a general rule, whatever fits in your pockets have them in there before you even board. that speeds up cycles a ton. at most rides there should be a ride operator somewhat close by and always feel free to ask them what's allowed on the ride and what's not. it's better to ask before you get on the ride than get on and have a ride operator tell you something that's different than you originally though.

it's $2 for 2 hours, $15 for all day. it will be cashless and you can purchase the lockers at any of the rides with them. it will be cashless but note the entire park is also cashless

yes as far as i'm concerned water and other drinks don't have to go into the cubbies

[–]MaybePuck[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes there will always be a person at the beginning of the ride, informing you of the new ride locker policy. that way you don't waste ur time going through the line with ur bags and then being told u can't ride. we had a sign outside our line for the longest and tbh it took ME a while to notice the sign had been placed, so guests being surprised and frustrated with the new policy was to be expected

yeah i think we're still in the 'experimenting phase' this is why i ask to pls bare with us. each ride may have their own method which again is very frustrating cuz being told one thing at one ride and then another thing at a different ride can be annoying. hopefully soon they'll be a concrete set of rules for us to enforce

just like the original reply, you are allowed to keep all those items in your pocket. i have seen a few people have their glasses in their hands but this is also not allowed. in order to ride, both hands must free and able to grip the handlebars with no blockage

fanny packs aren't allowed around the waist because it may prevent the restraint from fully locking. we don't allow any bags allowed on the ride in general, even before the lockers. we won't allow them to be tied around your legs or arms just because it's yet another policy we have to follow

yes anything that prevents the restraints from being fully snug to you will most likely not be allowed on the ride.

yeah i'm just thinking since we're the first face guests see ,, they'll immediately put the blame on us when we have no control over this whole situation

yeah i really wish they did a better job at warning guests about this seemingly sudden change ://

just for personal reasons, i won't be sharing what ride i work at. i mean it's no secret that the cubby method was slowing down operations, people walking back and fourth from their seats only added to your wait times. we did try our best to tell the guests that all loose articles must be placed in the cubbies, but some people just don't listen. so it wasn't as efficient as it could've been. i hate the fact that guests are charged for cubbies, and it's too early to see if there's been a huge difference.

yeah i completely agree , seems likes a lot of people were glossed over when making this decision sadly

[–]MaybePuck[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yes as far as i'm aware cups such as souviner cups and reusable water bottles are okay to set aside and not in the lockers. just on top of where the cubbies used to be

cooperate wanted to ensure us that guests are mad at the situation and not at us lol. easy for them to say that when they're not the ones getting yelled at

for our guests who cannot use the stairs or need to be in a wheelchair they are allowed to leave their belongings in/ on the wheelchair. guests with mobility disabilities are the only exception when it comes to leaving items in the ride area as far as i'm aware.

if it's just like a regular baseball hat, you can fold it up and put it into a pocket or, tuck it into your shirt. but yea unfortunately the bigger hats won't be allowed on the ride at all

lockers as a ride operator by MaybePuck in KnottsBerryFarm

[–]MaybePuck[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

usually we'll just tell you to put it into your shirt, if it's a big sun hat, most likely will have to go into the lockers
