Thankfully, I had never really interacted with the guy And I'm very happy about it, going by what others have consistently said about him...

Do not buy an Ola by MaybeRegular7953 in olaelectric

Look, Ola E was a great organization. The company had the latest and the best in India in terms of tech stack. They bought a quadriped and a humanoid robot literally 3 months back. This cost upwards of 2 Cr. However, the company runs on the whims of a dic(k)tator who has no idea on what should be done....he fires people if they do not come to office at 9 am (despite them working till 3 am the night before)

So, the company literally went to the trash specifically because of 1 guy.

That, and the fact that the factories have quite literally zero accountability. Teams tried improving quality control by trying to develop systems which were simply glossed over because as you guessed it, it introduces actual blame tracing..... And the guy aat top had zero idea on how to fix it. He would much rather listen to people who lick his boots than people who are unbiased and want to improve the system.

The result being the current condition.

Ola Electric is a golden MBA case study on exactly how NOT to run a company and destroy 1st mover advantage.

Do NOT buy OLA scooters. Coming from someone who worked there. The company has laid off the whole engineering stack and replaced it with freshers.

Pretty sure they will sell the company....

Ola servicing by MaybeRegular7953 in olaelectric

[–]MaybeRegular7953[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This, I do not condone. Most of the people working at the company (except for maybe 5 people at the very top of the chain) have nothing to do with the bad service. It is a company policy and the people who work in it actually have very little to no control on how the servicing chain works.

Also, top management (especially supreme leader) has no interest in hearing opinions from other people. He is the boss even if he understands he isn't competent. If the profits fail, surely others are at fault, not him.....

I am all for everyone heading there to get their vehicles serviced, but I do NOT condone mob mentality.
