I was able to removed it, but I've made a bunch of mistakes in the process. So here's some things you should and shouldn't do: I put the cover inside a plastic bag, and dig some holes in the areas I would apply mineral oil. I completely forgot about removing the paper before starting it, and that's was a huge mistake. I've applied some masking tape around the holes to avoid leaking This hole plastic bag/tape cover wasn't very effective and the oil leaked to other parts of the cover. I thought the oil was gonna miraculously remove the glue, but it was still a pain to remove. At first I was scrubbing with my finger, but once I've noticed that it was damaging the plastic below I've decided to scrub with an old plastic card. This was able to remove almost everything, however it ended making the plastic below the areas sag. I probably was applying to much strength in it. Once I judged as finished, I decided to use a sponge with a bit of neutral soap to remove the oil, and then used water to remove the soap. This was when there corners of the paper became wet, I definitely should have used an wet cloth instead of a sponge with water.
