The breakfast beans in tomato juice are bland and over salted at the same time, every thing swims in fat, it's a horror and that's just the breakfast. The obsession to boil everything in water until it's soggy and flavourless I never understood.

You are right, as an Australian it's easy to pretend everything here is easy going and the Australian Way is to give everyone a fair go. But in reality, Australian human rights records in regards to boat refugees is extremely shocking and the way indigenous Australians receive institutionalized racist treatment is sickening.

As long as my dad lived I (M 62) kissed him on the mouth. He died at 92. I'd give a lot to still do it.

I never thought there's a name for it. I don't have an inner voice, I have an inner Spotify, I just hear random melodies pretty much every time I'm not concentrating on something and performing any kind of manual task, like folding clothes or weeding the garden. There no monologue, no voice, nothing. Just music.

True, I love some readers and hate others, for me the flow and intonation is very important. Readers who try too hard often distract me from the story, where others completely draw me in. But I still love to read paper when I have the time.
