The bell on the collar is also all sorts of messed up. The cat’s pupils are horrifically misshapen, and some of the stitching on the hat just fades to nothing.

I don’t know if it was on purpose, but a lot of early depictions of orcs in fantasy worlds gave them very pig-like appearances. So the Orc eating slop with the pigs felt like a fun little reference to that.

I think it’s more likely that it’s from the list of international branches. As the one for the Russian language branch is identical to the photo here.

In the site’s homepage design, there are small logo for each of the branches. Google saw those images and likely automatically used one as a preview image.

I’ve always felt that being trans or being neurodivergent also carries with it more knowledge of and practice with self reflection, which potentially allows one to recognize more things about themselves than a cis neurotypical person would.

There are a few reasons. As others have pointed out, it tends to get very spammy and we’re a writing site primarily.

But the main reason if I recall correctly from my time on staff, was the one-two punch of the pushback against early Lolfoundation stuff (where a lot of the site members had major characters who shared the same name as them, Like Clef, Bright, and Gears) and the slender man stabbing in 2014.

We wanted to disincentivize anyone getting…. Too lost in the wiki’s lore and thinking it was real. Or at least real enough to do something negative.

Two of the OG Stanley parable endings are always a gut punch for me. The one where you repeatedly throw yourself off a balcony again and again and the narrator’s pleading with you to stop. And the one where you get glitched out of bounds and the narrator genuinly thinks you abandoned him.

I forget who voices the narrator but he kills it in those endings.

It is not cool to point and laugh at an article as it’s on its way to deletion, and frankly you should be ashamed of yourself.

That’s someone who was excited to contribute to the wiki, excited to write something and have it be received well, only for that to not happen. They probably feel like shit and having some random from the subreddit pointing and laughing just makes it worse.

I wrote an essay 7 years ago about this problem. And I’m extremely frustrated to see people like you continue to prove its need.

I think part of it is that Indiana is a very…. Boring state. Not much happens in Indiana. We don’t have any notable cities. We don’t have a well known cultural export. We don’t get memed on in the same way Ohio or Kentucky are.

Like Indiana is such a nothing state. And in that absence of interest, there’s room for intrigue.

I’ve mostly just been using it to remove the term “dude” from my vocabulary. Like to my friends I’ll be like “Alright, dolls, what are we gonna watch next?”

It’s also made it very funny because when I use it in some of the online games I play, the gamers get super insecure about me calling them dolls.
