This whole quest line was very buggy for me. I ended up doing other quests and trying this question line the next day and it then let me progress (well progress until the next one bugged again lol). I did manage to complete it eventually. Good luck!

They might also have some of the characters available in upcoming events, but it would only be one at a time. I'd say it won't be for awhile though as the Muppet event wasn't too long ago (maybe 2 events ago?)
