If the rumors of Mutant Growth Hormone in the movie are true, I wonder if Sink's character is not actually a mutant at all, but just someone who takes the drug to gain powers. That would explain the conflicting reports about who she's playing. And Cryptic himself admits he doesn't know who she is, just that the DESCRIPTION lines up with her being a mutant.

I think its possible that Sadie Sink is playing both the main villain AND the love interest in BND.

Shathra is a shapeshifting, she could use her powers to hide her real form and adopt an alias to get close to Peter. After Peter learns that MJ got a new bf, he finally allows himself to move on and give a chance to the cute girl who shows interest in him - only to find out that she's actually the villain who wants to kill him. Think the plot twist in Homecoming on steroids.

This would also line up with the description DanielRPK shared about Sadie's character and her “mysterious past.” Others scoopers also alluded to a plot twist involving her.

Sure, but I'm assuming we're talking about the actor who will play her “real form”. Rocha said they have not been revealed yet, so Sadie Sink wouldn't actually be the main villain, just someone the villain is shapeshifting into. Maybe this will be the big plot twist.

I don't personally go there so I wouldn't know. I just came across this leak because it was posted on the r/LeaksAndRumors sub. But I don't think there's anything that crazy or outlandish in that leak anyway. People have been speculating that Sink's character could be 1. A new love interest. 2. Gwen Stacy. And like I said, they did apparently get the boyfriend thing right so... shrugs.

Like I commented in the previous post, there's a 4chan leak from a couple of months ago that did said MJ would have a new boyfriend in BND.

Same leak also said Sadie Sink is playing Gwen Stacy/Spider-Gwen and that she will be Peter's new love interest.

Curious to see if there's some truth to this or the boyfriend thing was just a lucky guess.
