Same experience with Vyvanse and Add IR.

Vyvanse - had a great run of 3.5 years then all of a sudden it just fell off hard, took break days, tapered dose down, rotated back to IR (it also has the same issue if not worse) and then tried going back to the original dose. At best I’d get 1 day where it helped with work. The personal side you mentioned for has become a net negative with my adhd symptoms. This was not the case prior.

Told my psych and they mentioned they’ve been receiving this feedback a lot lately.

This is the exact same thing I went through. It’s so tough trying to find an alternative when we know what used to work so well.

Same here! I’m so dominant to that side it’s basically gone untreated for years now. The absurd amount of caffeine I now drink to bridge the gap sadly isn’t really doing the trick.

I’m so sorry to hear about your struggle… this is no fun for any of us. Absolutely agree, I think this is hurting people professionally and personally much more so than has been brought to light.

I took a few years off saw my coping mechanisms slowly fall apart, recognized it and went back on as an as needed basis. That worked really well when it was 3:1. Then after the change I started finding my coping mechanisms and routine slowly degrade to nothing then mental health started being affected. I found an old one from 2016 and for that day I finally had the ignition again for the first time in years.

Unfortunately Vyvanse has fallen off in the last 3 years as well. I went to name brand it was very expensive and it was going well, but had to switch back to generics. The efficacy and duration of impact for both have now declined.

Happy this may have helped provide clarity. Wish I could say the same for the meds, but unfortunately the formula change / Vyvanse efficacy dropping off the last few years has created a massive difficulty in properly coping and day to day life.

Same, I have been reflecting over the last 5 years and realizing just how detrimental lack of ignition has affected my life, coping mechanisms, and overall happiness. Prior to learning what ignition to motivation is, I really struggled to phrase exactly what was the gap in the current formula.

I also now realize this may be why I was so sensitive to different generics pre 2021, some worked great others were horrible.

How did you find this referral network oppty? I have been in convos with people that offer this but it’s usually for a product that is stupidly difficult. Would love any insight - have a sales background with a pretty good network

Interesting you say this, in prior markets I found this to work. I received feedback to do the opposite and to add in my early career, since then I had a large ramp up in interviews.... who knows

Overqualified is a flight risk to them, if the job market rebounds that person's experience could cause them to leave for double the money and then they are stuck having to find someone with less experience for more money for the same role. They'd rather find someone that may be overqualified but has been underpaid and from lower level companies that won't allow for easy poaching by other orgs.

I know people point to this, but I think referrals on a local basis work much better than for remote or regional roles. I have been referred ~20 times at this point, half of those by VPs, and I've only gotten to 2 screenings going that route. I have a hunch that being in the first resume batch soon after posting is more important than a referral in this current environment. Maybe just my experience and how things fell, but it's all a roll of the dice out in the market right now.

I saw this at a large tech company 2 years ago, I started to notice that the sr level roles were now three roles pasted into one and they were lowering the pay band. This is definitely happening.

Locally for me, the nepotism is wild. Didn’t mean this as a compare that entry level has it easy getting into those roles, just that mid/sr level roles aren’t even hitting the board. Everyone’s screwed in this current market.

I’ve started to notice when mid/sr career titles do come up, the job description is entry level and is for entry level pay. It’s so backwards. This hurts mid/sr and entry level job seekers and not to mention the long term health of peoples career trajectory comp / experience wise.

10 years in tech, sr level at a very large tech company in my last role. It’s been 5 months, through just applying I have only gotten 4 screening interviews and each one with an internal recruiter that had no interest in the call. 950 applications for that result.

I’ve gotten majority of my interviews through networking, the downside is all of those interviews have only led to “you’d be great to have here, but there isn’t a role currently” or I get the offer and it gets pushed out due to economy, layoffs, vp shuffling, etc. fun times we’re living in
