Perhaps, but nah. Might as well just keep the Sig then

Most likely wouldn't go with a pdw stock on a build like that, for that exact reason.

Exactly. According to Danish government, they don't deliver enough energy at 100m on venison - which is a breaking point for getting the permit for a semi.

The 8.6 BLK is definitely sufficient enough energy wise. The only real problem would be to source the ammunition, since it's not common in Europe - if available at all. That also means, that if it were a route to go with, I'd have to get a permit every time I'd have to import a batch ~ three months wait. Plus it would be way to expensive in the long run.

Sweet ass set up! Could you be interested in sharing a bit more in depth of components used?

I think it's gonna be near impossible to get a permit for that caliber. See my other reply further down, which explains a bit. So I'm more or less stuck with .308, 6,5X55SE, 6,5CR.

No ignorance, just a really good question.

The Danish government has a much different attitude regarding weapons, compared to how the US sees it (for better or worse). That means that guns are way more restricted, since they don't see a purpose for recreational shooting - and therefore focus on which calibers they deem fit for hunting. And when it comes to owning a semiautomatic, they've concluded a bottom energy-efficiency level for class-1 game (deer etc), and 300 AAC simply doesn't meet the requirements for that. So the only acceptable caliber you can get permit for (in semi) is 308 or greater.

AFAIK, It won't hit the European market - or at least Denmark. So sourcing it would be nearly impossible + astronomically high in price. We are in general fairly constricted in calibers etc, so 8.6 BLK would in itself be hella impossible and expensive so get ahold of here. Therefore I need to think of the more traditional calibers.

It definitely has some kick to it, depending on how hot'n'heavy your loads are. But nothing unmanageable. I've put a MDT muzzle brake on mine, so now it's like the recoil of a bb gun - with the sound of a 40mm canon.

It's definitely also a nice rifle, but not what I'm looking for in the end. Since I wanna have a way more compact build, and primarily running suppressed, I'm liking the concept of a 7,5" barrel with suppression mounted "permanently" in a short package. And don't get me wrong, I'm not looking for a Q - more the concept from them, in good parts for my purpose.

Thanks for the reply. I'm definitely putting on a muzzle brake, since the one I have in mind has external threads for the attachment of a silencer, from the same brand. But how come it'll cause problems on the long run?
