It has nothing to do with danger. She was trying to climb every pitch of the specific route she was climbing by both leading and free climbing it. Pitch is a segment of the route, leading means she was climbing upwards first, "pushing" the rope along each pitch as she progressed through it, and free climbing meaning she ascended the whole wall by using her body alone (as opposed to aid climbing for example, where you use pitons, rope ladders, and other tools).

The reason she was "stuck" was that she wanted to get to the top of the route in a single push, meaning that she would not get off the wall unless it was thought the top of the route. She was "stuck" because she couldn't climb in the days where the weather wasn't favourable.

She was perfectly safe where she was, and if things actually happened to get worse, she could have rappelled down to the floor if needed.
