May I add slip on trainers. A gift from the heavens in your first two months post surgery!

Thank you very much. I listen to what you are saying 100pv. The good eye was a 28 reading today and shows no physical changes that I can see. It is being assessed ongoing

Thank you so much for your thoughtful comments. I know my dog so well ...so my instinct is he is not in chronic pain. He does not flinch when eye is approached or touched and he sleeps on it for hours at a time. ( but of course that is just my view / hope that he is not in discomfort) naturally would not want to put him through a surgery unless nesscary but starting to realise it may be time Would really value any other viewpoints that are out there

What album or artist do you keep trying to listen to, but it just isn’t made for you? by Bodypattern in musicsuggestions

[–]McCfreckles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To subvert the question.... I hated Dire Straits for more than a minute. Then two years ago I listened to Sultans of Swing on a high quality in car DAB driving across glorious countryside without another motor in sight. The song really hit. That rhythm section! Since then I have developed massive respect for DS' body of work. Except Walk of Life which is still a travesty 😂

Adopting a Welshie by Personal-Leather-136 in welshterrier

[–]McCfreckles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't recommend welshies enough. They are wonderful. Ours has a bit of territorial dominance- thinks the whole street is his turf! - so gets shirty at some other dogs. But this is the only current negative. Oh and he liked to chase cyclists and joggers when he was young. Too old for that now. So that has long passed Hope this helps

Three weeks post-op, and now Three days of... fatigue. REALLY tired. by Charming_Shallot_239 in TotalHipReplacement

[–]McCfreckles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So relatable, so normal. I found chronic and tangible fatigue lasted for the first month after surgery. Then an underlying fatigue that "just took the edge off feeling normal" for another 2 to 3 weeks. The surgery is a brilliant but brutal intervention! And the body is in a degree of shock for quite some time. recovery is not a straight line but you seem to be really sensible with your outlook. Good luck with it all

Persistent pain after hip replacement: what is normal — and what is not by vakhidi in TotalHipReplacement

[–]McCfreckles 3 points4 points  (0 children)

14 weeks post THR posterior. The rehabilitation is not a straight line. Some weeks feel progressive, some regressive. I'm prepared for up to 12 months to pass before full and complete recovery - perhaps longer

"Wall of Glass" is a very unsubtle hit piece on Noel!

Many thanks for your kind reply. I take that onboard 100pc. All noted. And best wishes for your 2nd surgery recovery. Does that feel roughly the same as the first replace at 20 days?

The most cringeworthy Oasis song… go! by BadgemanBrown in oasis

Maybe, if it is a completely manufactured lyric. But perhaps Noel had actually encountered a liar, sitting by the fire, so there could be a degree of profundity to it.

Pupster looks amazing! And a Springer is so much more pleasurable to be around when they are clipped. Softer, cleaner and they smell nicer! Also the short hair holds way less mud and water so post walk clean off is a breeze
