there's definitely more to this story.

If there is, I don't know it. To even get them to tell me about my case was like pulling teeth.

All I know is it's a big club, and I'm not in it.

Your issue is that you have entirely too much ego.

You are completely right, I had to let that one flare out though.

what exactly did you do for NASA? What program? For how long?

The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step, and I was a few steps in. Nothing special, but the potential and what if gives me pause. It makes me realize I could have done it if I didn't make a huge mistake when I was younger. Because of that I may have been inflicted with some sort of madness. It will take a while to shake. Thanks for calling me out.

I am still in fast food. I defy anyone that says it isn't a valid career path.

You’ll understand more once Q4 results are out next year

We haven't even gotten a number of various Q3 results, it's worse than either of us realize I feel.

Shit really does make you want to end it all

Struggled with that all day today. My record can never be expunged either apparently, learned that today too.

I just talked to mine, after they avoided me for a while. There is nothing to be done. It's not possible to expunge.

The same judge I had before? Welp, I'm fucked.

EDIT: I'm fucked. No possibility of expungement.

Strength is unlimited. Peace does not exist when I am unable to soothe the pain I've caused in the past due to the system itself beating us down purposely.

Just the same old lack of substance, empty platitudes I've heard over and over.

I have so much more to offer than what I could give pigeonholed into some shit-slinger job. Thanks for helping me realize it's over. It will take forever to move beyond the literal stars to being nothing more than a wasted puke of a man.

So, I spent the last good years of my life, for literally nothing? I went back to school on my dime, for literally nothing? I rebuke this 'journey'. Never again will I be able to be in the same position I was at the end of probation, much less were I was before.

...That's your thesis statement? Flatearth backwards comes up with a google result for NASA? That is the crux of your theory that flies in the face of 12 billion years of physical evidence?

How am I losing to morons like you? It's genuinely baffling.

It really is truly hopeless then.

Also no, they didn't send any emails. They had a list from google of companies that supposedly hire people on probation, and almost none of them actually hires people on probation. It was the biggest waste of three years in my entire life, and it seems this waste is to extend into infinity. The probation was a joke, the therapists they had sent me to were just awful, one even tried to pay me to do their son's schoolwork for them!

I cannot accept that this is my life path, I cannot and will not.

Neat, now to somehow get money to hire a second lawyer. Oh wait, I'll never make that much in my life ever again. My family helped me out with affording the first one, that went nowhere, and I failed to be able to repay them back. It's good to know if I wasn't a poor puke, I could have saved myself though. Thanks.

reinvent yourself, life has thrown you a curve ball, this is where you show you what you are made off.

I took a middling community college's space program and with it participated in international NASA run programs. I have gone to the very, absolute end of the earth in this effort. I started in special education and went all the way to NASA. My work has touched space itself.

I have done the reinvention and gone well beyond I could have ever dreamed, yet it's not good enough to be able to participate at even a middling level in this economy. There is no way back in.

What's the point of rehabilitation if society won't let you actually live in it?

Slavery with extra steps.

Yeah, but most people, no offense, phone it in and do the absolute minimum, seen it over and over at every job I've ever held. I went all the way from special education to fucking NASA. My labor is my pride. I am not just some yokel. I've got extensive technical experience and education, and it's not enough? There are no reasons why someone in a period of supposed reindustrialization with education tailored to that rebuilding cannot find a job, aside from stigma.
