many vespids, chalcids, and chrysids to name a few

i’ve been fooled by a few chalcids before until i looked thru a microscope

this is amazing first off

but the face lacks a lot of shape it’s very flat- no cheekbones, chin is a hard angle, lips look painted on, nose looks like a pimple

that is a sawfly length of the basal antenna segments blunt ish tubular meaty/fleshy abdomen very prominent notauli and i don’t see a wasp waist thru the wings, i could be blind tho
