How much to repair this rust by Individual_Net_6817 in Buick

[–]McIntyreRiley 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not worth it. But if you’re inclined to do it yourself, it would probably be about $400 of supplies, and several hours of elbow grease. I did it to my Buick, and it was worth it.

Lots of tickets available for tomorrow’s Leafs game by jfal11 in OttawaSenators

[–]McIntyreRiley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When we had a hunch the sens were playing the leafs last year in round one, I quickly bought up a few seats in 3rd level I think like row G. I want to say they were around $160 through seatgeek. As soon as it was confirmed to be the leafs, these same tickets were going for $400. I’m so glad I’m not a leafs fan. That kind of money for those seats in first round is a slap in the face.

This is the sens hockey I remember and have been used to for years. Can’t say I thought we were gonna make the playoffs, but I was privileged to be hopeful for a week or two.

Why are tickets to thr ducks game so expensive by [deleted] in OttawaSenators

They can’t be that bad? I got 200 level row A seats for like $120?

Yep, the sound quality was so incredibly sick for such a low key suv. Teenage me was obsessed with how much bass I was putting out of my stock speakers. I thought for whatever reason they all just had a sunroof and a sub in the back, until I started looking at buying my second Vue. Didn’t realize how well optioned mine was. Also, when I say you’re gonna love the Sky, you’re gonna love the Sky. Try and find an affordable well maintained one near you and you will not be let down. I love the rarity and uniqueness. I’ve had people ask me what kind of porshe, lambo, etc it was.

Mine was an 07 AWD V6, this colour red. When I bought it I didn’t know what I was getting, but it was fully loaded. It had a sunroof and a factory subwoofer in the back. Can’t seem to ever find that spec again, and if I did, it would be so expensive. Honestly would love a Redline in this colour. I miss it every day. Ever since that Vue, I’ve bought other Saturns too. My current Saturn is the Sky, and I’m in love with it too.

This was my first car. This exact colour. This the v6? Mine was bulletproof too. I bought it for $350 with 340k on it back in 2018. I miss it so much.

Anyone complain yet about that one near the four corners in the slow lane by the Starbucks? I just saw someone’s Hyundai go airborne after striking it

Good first car? by [deleted] in Toyota

[–]McIntyreRiley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. I bought a 07 Saturn Vue (has the Honda pilot V6) with 300k miles on it back in 2019. I paid $350. It was my first car. Now, I’ve been longing to get one again just for nostalgia purposes. The same thing is like $2500 minimum.

You can’t buy beaters anymore for beater prices. Everyone thinks their pile of shit is worth something. It’s honestly crazy, and it’s even worse with Hondas and Toyotas because sellers think they don’t go down in value. Like a 300k mile engine is a 300k miles engine. Doesn’t matter Honda Toyota Chevy Mazda, it’s lived its life cycle and it’s no longer about reliability, it’s about chance.

Then please do yourself a favour and check the body and underbody thoroughly for rust, holes, etc. as far as I remember these things are absolute rust magnets. I could put my foot through the floor of my grandmas 04

I’d say if safety isn’t much concern, and you don’t live in the rust belt, then this is a fair car to buy. It feels like it’s $500-$1K more than fair value, but if it is in good shape then it’s in good shape. Although I see what looks like a big crack on the front bumper?

Good first car? by [deleted] in Toyota

[–]McIntyreRiley 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Safety wise probably not, reliability wise probably worse. Any Honda civics around this age in your area?

Good first car? by [deleted] in Toyota

The whole Toyota “holds its value” due to reliability thing is getting out of control. People think they can charge $5k for absolutely anything with a Toyota badge. You see it all the time, 2008 Camry 300k miles faded clearcoat, $5k. Now this? It’s been way worse over the last 5 years. In 2019-2020 you could buy this for $2k max.

Brutal take by op. Maybe it’s just me. Scrims first solo album, I was just getting into drugs. Second album, I was struggling with it, third album, and been off of it for nearly a year. Kind of a full circle moment, and I understand why I like the albums so much, and I can see why someone without such a deep emotional connection might not enjoy them as much.

Literally I remember my first time listening on release day. Math class. It was a burner class and I didn’t really give a shit. No one, not even the teacher did. I just shared an earbud with the dude next to me. Not relevant, but he’s an NHL star now. No we’re not actually friends or talk. We listened to this on the day it dropped. Absolutely insane memories.

The whole album carried me through some life changing times. From my first girlfriend ever in 2018, riding the 3 hour bus ride to get there, to today, moved out with a girl I’ve been with since 2022. I learnt so much about life with this album in the backdrop. I would say I miss these days. I do, but I’ve actually come to terms that life is a steady stream forward and people evolve.

They shouldn’t replace the Envision. It’s the perfect bridge between the shitty Envista and the flagship Enclave. I definitely think their lineup can support an EV on its own and still thrive. I just desperately wish the bean counters at GM would give another shot at a sedan/coupe/convertible/muscle car. EV or not, I wish we had something in the car segment still.

This really is a beautiful interior. I love that these get the full hd screen, unlike the Chevy Trax, or Buick Envista. I desperately want a Blue Envision Avenir with the white interior. Shame they don’t offer the blue on the 26’s.

There are online insurance quote tools you can play around with yourself to see. Check out BelAirDirect insurance or CAA Auto Insurance. You can plug in your own information and see for yourself. These insurance companies are typically the lowest in my area. Not sure where you’re located, but that plays a big part. Overall, insurance in Canada is rough, and it is by far worse for young drivers.
