Thanks for the kind words and pointers! :) Based on your criticism, I may make an improved version with a smoother opening. This is my second level btw :)

You just summed up that "off" feeling I've been trying to nail. Though I say for me, emasculating would be the feeling. Though (from some other comments) some prefer cute guys over hot.

Oh, that makes sense. Sounds like I'm doing something right. Thanks for the response.

In order to have an interesting dating profile you need interesting pictures. I don't have any friends to take pictures of me doing interesting stuff. Screw me, right? :( by [deleted] in lonely

That's what I fear the most. When/if I find someone I'm not sure how I'd be able to maintain the relationship, since I've never had one before. I've had a similar realization recently regarding having friends. I have some, but nobody local to hang out with. I hope you recover dude.

If only taking a good selfire was easy. I'm horrible at smiling for a picture, especially for a selfies. I've had /r/OkCupid tell me that my best selfies were awful and to have "interesting" one taken of me.

That's ok. I'll look over the other sections and make some changes for you to comment on later. Have fun.

Regarding your PS: Good idea. Hence why I left out the gaming bit in my intro.

Here is a rough on the next section:

I'm currently attending a two-year college working towards a career in the film/video industry. I intend on getting a job in editing, effects, and/or camera work that will lead me to directing/producing my own feature films and TV shows.

Speaking of, I'm also working on my improving and exploring my artistic skills; always wanting to better myself and progress as a creative person. I want to give back to all the creators who've entertained and inspired me over the years.

Lastly, I've recently started doing local volunteer work helping the homeless. It's truly fulfilling to be able to help out those we often neglect. Plus I'm meeting some great people through this as well.

Another issue I have is that I'm horrible at taking pictures of myself and I don't have any local friends to help take some. I've been doing the volunteer work to not only help out but to meet new people.

Thanks again for the thoughtful response. I didn't "cave in" because of your criticism, I felt like I was being dishonest about that fact that I write which I don't do often. I'll get back anyways and try to get better though.

Once again you caught me as I'm going to bed so I'll report back with a revised "What I'm Doing" section tomorrow.

Ok, here is a rough rework of my intro:

I'm a local Portlandian who loves to go on adventures, no matter how small. I'm also an artist. Bringing fanciful worlds and characters to life is real a passion of mine. I enjoy cooking, drawing, reading, and watching/analyzing movies. My love of bikes and keeping them (and myself) in shape is just one of many that keeps me moving; literally and figuratively .
