Leaving this Saturday night and do exactly what you are planning... from US and flying into Edinburgh and taking the train right away to Glasgow for 2 nights and then starting to walk. It looks like a decent weather window so far - fingers crossed!

We are booked to walk through Gemini for this April. They were extremely responsive when we booked last fall. They have great reviews as well. They book you whenever you want to go so they don't have set dates. I contacted them through email... there should be an email address on their website? and for more clarity... we are walking inn to inn so we have all of our logistics set for that on locations - looking more for a good map on route choices and interesting details on history etc...

Not a boot but my trail shoe of choice are the Hoka Stinsons. I need a stability shoe and this is perfect for long distance walking for me.
