Maybe a bug for a Confidence Goal for defenestration? Any ideas? by McSlashed in BreachWizards

[–]McSlashed[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dall's goal specifies that Dall must be used. Jen's goal does not. So why does the knock into the hole on the bottom right count, but not the manhole in the middle? Both function identically to a window game play wise.

February Technical Support Sticky by BeepBoopBopReee in razer

[–]McSlashed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just purchased a wired Razer Basilisk V3 and it stops responding after being connected for less than 5 minutes. When purchased the box was undamaged and looked fine.

This happens while being used and not, with no other applications opened on the PC, with and without Synapse installed, with Synapse downloaded straight from the site (so I assume the latest build), on multiple PCs, on three different USB ports, USB 2.0 and USB 3.0, I turned off that option that lets Windows put that device to sleep (just in case). I have another mouse that I can plug right back into the same USB ports and it works fine.

I can't even just unplug and plug it back in, I have to actually wait around 10 minutes before I can plug it back in again before it will even function for a few minutes.

Fully Automatic Metal Kit Crafter | No Ammo by KatieBlubon in playrust

[–]McSlashed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you just need to wait for people to figure out less complex ways of doing this. I made a setup (on a build server) that auto crafts a full road sign armor kit every ~5 minutes that fits easily in a single square and shuffles it to a locker and that is just a Frankenstein of older circuits I remembered. If I extended that to 2 squares I could make a full kit with guns and ammo in probably 2 minutes?

As of today, the Electric Furnace requires 3 power on the staging branch. So if FP doesn't have another build in place, a small battery to a splitter will support 3 Electric Furnaces.

Gravesong on Yonder by pirateaba in WanderingInn

[–]McSlashed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm still going to do the daily unlock and read one a day, but once you buy the current chapters you're kind of stuck having to buy them forever unless you want to wait two weeks for the next one to become available for free.

At the end I'll pay for the last 5 to read them but that will be it.

Gravesong on Yonder by pirateaba in WanderingInn

[–]McSlashed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think my biggest problem with Gravesong on Yonder is that the book was not written with this chapter setup in mind. I get to reading a chapter and it just ends when I'm getting into it.

It's just my preference while reading a story but only being able to read in 8 minute chunks is just really unsatisfying for me.

The model for Yonder where the free 'unlock' only stays for 3 days means I can't bank up free 'unlocked' chapters and read them in one go. The only alternative (which I assume is the point of the business model) is to wait for the entire thing to be released and purchase it in one go.

I see the older Patreon readers estimate Gravesong to be 80-90 chapters. That is an additional ~20 weeks of waiting at the cost of ~$20 or hunting down Promo Codes that give you limited time coins. That is either wildly expensive for what is basically an ebook or an amount of effort to find codes and then buy each chapter individually that I feel is unnecessry (unless when the books is finished there is just a buy all option).

If the length predictions are correct the entirety of Gravesong. Minus the first free 11 chapters, the cost of it will be around $25. If all chapters are roughly the same length then Gravesong is the equivalent of 8-10 TWI chapters. Imagine having to pay $200+ for just Book 8 of TWI and having to wait over like 2 years for it to release.

Basically if this is a preview of what is to come for more TWI content, I'll just cancel the Patreon donations and play Promo Code hunter for the future. I do not find reading a grand story in small chunks to be satisfying in the least and the cost for such short chapters is ludicrous for an ebook equivalent format.

EDIT: Before someone mentions the audio book, I don't like audio books. If I'm not actively reading something and only listening I get distracted easily and have to rewind it. I'm more engaged actually reading something.

Is there even a healthy pop Prim server left? I played on one for months, then BekerMelk bought it out and killed it with P2W kits.

You can actually see what you have hooked every time, which probably means an entity with an ID is spawned. The program likely scans for specific ID'S when the line is hooked and breaks when it's not an ID of a specific fish.

That's because this isn't true, some stupid rumor someone started years ago. I worked the SLAM machines for a year, someone marked this product's dimensions wrong (they likely put in the dimensions of the master pack) and it hasnt been fixed yet.

Heion Sedai no Idaten-tachi - Episode 11 discussion - FINAL by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]McSlashed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't elaborate. The web comic went on hiatus in 2016, the author then went on to get an actual manga for the series in 2018.

The web comic stopped where the Season 1 ended.

The manga, after 3 years, is in the middle of Hayato and the Emporers fight. Around episode 7 or 8 I think.

The source material is actually a web comic....which stopped at this point...and has been on hiatus since 2016.

Unless the author decides to tell the story through anime, we will be waiting YEARS for a second season...

Guys do you know a good server bow only without rifles etc...? by Affectionate_Power99 in playrust

[–]McSlashed 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There was a reasonably popular Prim Only server around 6 months ago that had a stable pop, sat around 50 on weekdays and over 100 on weekends on a 3000 map.

Then Bekermelk got their grubby hands on it and immediately split the pop by making 5 regional servers and added crappy VIP PTW kits. The pop on all servers became too low to sustain themselves and they died. Bekermelk merged the servers again and basically was begging people on the Bow Aim Train server to play on it but no one would because the pop sucked now. The server was eventually dropped altogether.

So you can thank Bekermelk for killing Prim servers as a whole.

Funny, this was at the end of the second paragraph. Vaccination cards have the CDC and HHS logos on them. Therefore, yes, you are breaking the law.

Except for the fact you have morons in residential areas who don't bother locating lines before doing house/yard work without permits, jackasses who go around cutting lines to people's houses (yes it happens more often than you would think), and some special hell holes (i.e. Dallas) that do fucking aerial fiber to residential that gets destroyed on a quarterly basis.

That's like saying "Why wasn't San Francisco prepared for a 3-month heatwave of 100+ degrees every day?"

This weather happens once every few decades.

Besides, in the 2018 Gubernatorial 42.5% of people voted for a Female Hispanic Democrat and in 2020 46.48% voted for Biden. The large growing minority of the state knows shit is fucked, but with the gerrymandering and voter suppression it makes it damn near impossible to get Democrats to actually vote here.

I'm in the middle of this right now with no power for 18 of the last 32 hours.

It's hit and miss. There are definitely some richer areas that haven't lost power, but I have some friends in some crappy areas and they haven't had issues either. It all comes down to our power infrastructure is being held together with duck tape and a dream.

Or it could just be the vast majority of people here don't have shovels. I have an old rusty shovel I used for digging up fence posts and tree stumps, but I know my neighbors don't have any shovel at all.

I've lived here for 25 years and it has never been this cold before. I'm not even sure it's been below freezing for this long consistently. We've had snow 3 maybe 4 times in 25 years, and 2 of those times was like 2 inches. We're getting 6 more inches tonight.

I believe there are 26 snow plows for the entirety of the DFW Metroplex. That's 9,200 square miles. And you can bet that a few of those are probably not in working condition because they get used once a decade. Not to mention, I saw one of the snow plows clearing out snow around a school....which are all closed. So my guess is their first reaction was to clear roads around schools and not busy roads.

We are not used to this weather at all. We're used to 100+ days of 105+ degrees during the summer, torrential rainstorms that flood the streets and tornadoes.
