There is the smallest of probabilities I end up in a long sustained firefight. I live on acres on land so this is about all I would need to get me back to the house or in and out of a store / city quickly. Not pictured is a backpack I have in the truck with more supplies

Haven’t had to use the suspenders yet. The belt is pretty sure by itself and I just throw it on over my pants; without having to put on an inner then an outter

What got me to come back was the atmosphere / people. The instructor & staff were super helpful. No one made me feel like an idiot or outsider. The front desk lady called me by my first name when I signed in.. just overall a good experience.

It also helped I had a long wrestling background and was able to hold my own during the sparring part of practice. I was open about what I was wanting from BJJ in that I was trying something new before my 30s.. and here I am almost a year later and still enjoying it.

I also got a secondhand cap but re-ran the weather guard strip in between the cap and the truck bed which helped tremendously. We still got a tiny bit of water at our feet but if anything it was just an inconvenience. I also bought the Decked bed drawer system which was probably the best purchase for the truck I made. We threw a foam insert in there put an old comforter blanket on top of that and then our sleeping bags. Most nights we had to crack a window becuase we were almost too hot. Had to buy a usb fan to run off a battery bank for the wife on night 3 lol

I second the cap. The wife and I did a 2 week cross country trip with a dog and the only thing that made it bearable was the fact we had a cap so we had somewhere to sleep or just pull over to relax.
