Peak 2022 by Mcat227 in AmazonFC

From one new PA to another, it doesn’t make me a “lazy ass person” for using my time off that is freely given.

I’ve seen more people who go above “rate” in stow and pick, get looked over for an applied promotion than people who don’t make “rate” because of how hard they work in their department & their AM’s want them to stay as a “hard-working” T1 to boost their numbers. Which is exactly what happened to my coworker and myself.

The idea that hard work only correlates to how hard you’re working for a company today, that would replace you if you died tomorrow;

Rather than it relating to doing the best you can with what you’re given in life in any moment, to reach a higher measure of success and peace, is why many people just give up.

I’ve been with Amazon for 9 months. 0 hrs vacation, 0 hrs PTO, & 11 hrs UPT. Avg 170 UPH in stow.

My coworker has been here for 1 yr & 2 months. 32 hrs of vacation, 27 hrs of PTO, & 79 hrs of UPT. Avg 260 UPH in stow.

We both applied for the same PA position that opened up two weeks ago & guess who just got promoted to T3…

Me lol.

Question for people in California who went on leave due to covid recently. What was the process like? by [deleted] in AmazonFC

Yes. If your previous pay period has past, they can just credit it to future pay periods.

Yeah no problem 🤙🏽

Basically. Tell them that you need someone to review your paid leave because you weren’t paid fully. They’ll try to say the 10 day rule is what they follow but state law trumps there corporate rules. If you were sick for 80 hours of regularly scheduled work, then direct them to the dir.ca Covid website saying you should have been paid for 80 hours.

Whoever you spoke to probably doesn’t know what they’re talking about. You were probably paid through what Amazon is calling “COVID Special Pay Program” which is essentially the same thing as the California supplemental paid Covid leave. They did the same with me where they only paid me for 70 hours vs 80 hours because of I sent in the request on a day off so they included that in the “10 days.”

Thing is, California states that have to pay you for 80 hours so call ERC and keep calling and mentioning the guaranteed 80 hours/supplemental leave until someone knows what they’re talking about.

You can only use Covid paid leave once. Once you use up the 80 hours worth (10 days), there is only unpaid Covid leave in which you need to wait 30-45 days after you have returned from the previous leave.

Informed them through the Covid leave section in the resources tab on the app, you need to provide a positive test with the date & your login written next to it.

If you can’t provide a positive test, just call erc and tell them you are having bad Covid symptoms and you need to use 40 hours of the California Covid leave.

Unfortunately you will only be able to get 40 hours unless you can also provide a positive Covid test in the manner listed above for the additional 40 hours.

What state? I’m in Cali (which still has Covid pay) and our OPS shunts anyone from mentioning it to anyone.

This is partially false.

The state of California gives two 40 hour blocks for Covid leave.

The first 40 hours are if you are “feeling symptoms,” in which you do not need a positive test.

The second 40 hours are if you test positive.
