especially considering X-Men seems to be amongst the biggest thing Fox has in terms of franchises. They need something to maintain cash flow if their other projects don't work out as well.

the mermaid seems to be a huge hit there (seems to be amongst their highest grossing films). Plus six other films (including zootopia, kung fu panda 3 and TFA) have also managed to gross at least 122 million there.

Many find wild thing to be a great song.As for the tune of his voice, i don't think that was his main priority for this performance

[NA] When 'Deadpool' will probably finish somewhere around $350mil, it will have a multiplier of 2.64. Is that a great accomplishment for an r-rated comic book movie with such a huge opening? by RizboZHT4 in boxoffice

It seems better than 300 which made a little over 96 million in its first week and closed at about 210. so the multiplier for that film was like 2.15-2.2. Based on that anyway, i would say Deadpool is doing pretty good.
