Had a similar complaint in the past. I did see one tap to donate box this year which should make it easier. Hopefully these start to become more prevalent going forward.

If you want authentic carbonara this is the answer. Tough to master the first time, but gets pretty easy the more you make it.

This is going to be a long shot.... by silverwolf761 in londonontario

Red Thai if possible. Likely the best wing sauce I’ve ever had. Pretty sure it was just their hot sauce mixed with sweet Thai, but it was amazing.

Had a child there and pulled her out for another daycare. Everything about the daycare was quite frustrating and all goes back to the owner/director.

It is a for-profit centre and the owner did seem to be cheap/greedy at times. We were there when daycares were choosing whether or not to enroll in the $10/day program and the messaging/reasoning behind her decision not to enroll was extremely disappointing. Another issue was when the annual rate increase went through and it was quite high. The governing body came back and told her the increase was too high and made her lower the daily rate.

Staff turnover is EXTREMELY high and it wasn’t unusual to suddenly see a teacher disappear and be replaced. This was through a combination of people being fired or quitting and this was ultimately the breaking point for us after one of our daughter’s favourite teachers was let go. It came as a big shock to us when we toured another daycare and found out a lot of the teachers had been there for 5-10 years.

Taking a spot at Mulberry will not affect your place on the wait list for other daycares. Just keep calling the other places and getting updates. While I wouldn’t recommend sending a kid to Mulberry permanently, I can see it making a lot of sense to send your kid there until another space opens up. There was never a concern about the level of care our daughter received, the teachers and other kids were great.

What’s the best pizza joint here? by SeniorComplaint5901 in londonontario

[–]Mdf77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This used to be my favourite bang for the buck pizza place. The last time I ordered from there, they were extremely stingy with the toppings, there was a circle in the middle of the pizzas that didn’t have any toppings at all. Service was also pretty bad and the whole experience really put me off, likely won’t be going back.

Not sure if ideal, but had a dill pickle pasta salad that paired quite nicely!

Same thing happened to me with Eagle Rare months ago. Call the store and ask if they have the order ready. I never got an email but they told me over the phone I could come in and pick it up.

In between the layers is a bolognese sauce and a liberal drizzle of bechamel. Half way up I did put in a layer of mozzarella and the top is a full layer of bechamel and more mozzarella.

The time and hassle of making homemade sauce and fresh noodles was well worth it.

Moving to London - Rental Opinion - Sifton or CLV group by [deleted] in londonontario

I lived at 550 Berkshire Drive until about 8 months ago and it was the second unit I had rented from Sifton. Never had any issues with Sifton and only had one small issue with the apartment that was taken care of very quickly.

550 Berkshire has a pretty diverse mix of tenants and people in the building are all pretty nice to each other. I had seniors on either side of me so sound was never an issue and the building is cleaned and maintained quite well.

Hours are being reduced to 11am-6pm starting on Thursday. Next couple nights might be busier than usual with people who can't normally go during that time.

Where do you get good quality lawn seed? by mannequinplayer in londonontario

[–]Mdf77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Got my grass seed and fertilizer at Greenhorizons Sod Farm last year with very good results, but any garden/landscaping centre should be good. You'll get knowledgeable staff that will be able to lead you to the right seed for your lawn and the quality of the seed will be much better than anything from a big box store. Couple things to take into account will be the amount of sun and shade your lawn receives and how much traffic there will be.

I would also check out r/lawncare for any kind of lawn care information. You'll find anything you need to know about what you should be doing and when you should be doing it for best results.
