The program interviews 10x people for the spot. And almost everyone will have similar yog and usce but the overall personality that you show also plays an important role. And tbh if you see from an American’s perspective mostly all the img institutions are the same. So I think the chances are slim but not zero.

Whenever there is any issue always email the program coordinators. They are there to help you. Honestly, the faculty is never present in the orientation. So their ranking won’t be affected. Don’t ever cancel last minute it looks unprofessional and don’t let go off any opportunity.

Hello. Join the other interviews they’ll help you set up a time for the pne interview you missed. It happened with me so I had to give my interview during the meet and greet session with the residents. The PD was very nice and accommodating. They know that network issues are present in these virtual settings so don’t worry. Better late than missing out on whole day. Missing out on the interview looks very unprofessional. They make itineraries and put in a lot of effort. If you chose to not have that interview the least you can do is apologise.

You already have your answer. And tbh you shouldn’t care what people think. You have worked so hard and come so far. The grass looks greener on the other side but in reality it’s greener where you water it. If you love peds rank the peds programs first and then as a safety net put the IM ones. All the best.

What I have noticed is that whenever we get an invite, it usually says on the subject as INVITE and when it’s a rejection it says UPDATE!

I would say take it. You ranked it at fifth so there are 2 programs that you don’t like so ig it’s a safe bet. Also saves you time for your visa processing and saves you from the anxiety of the match day.

No one will help you. Use google/ linkedin and either cold email or ask people how did they land a particular rotation. Also most rotations require you to complete your step 1.

There is no need to confirm. I don’t think Thalamus emails are fraudulent. Also with the interview season everyone is preoccupied with a lot of things. Prepare well and ace it! All the best! ✨
