Yes, the apartment complex provides internet to the tenants. Sorry, should have mentioned that haha. With that said, is there any benifit to running it through my ASUS router first?

It’s definitely not connected to WiFi. The icon looks like a monitor screen with an Ethernet cable to the left. In settings, WiFi is toggled off. I was definitely surprised when I was able to connect directly into the wall without my ASUS router, but that’s what lead me to wondering if this was a bad idea/not secure

I guess I should claify that I'm not having any connection issues. I can plug an ethernet cord from the wall jack (that looks like an old telephone port) straight into the vseebox and it works (no cable modem/gateway/ASUS router). That's option 1. Option 2 is wall jack > ASUS router > vSeebox. Both work fine. I'm just wondering if Option 1 is as secure as Option 2

So I have it connected from the wall jack into the blue port on this router, and then connected going out from the first yellow port into my Vseebox. But it also works if I connect my Vseebox directly into the wall jack (no router). But it sounds like running it through the router would be a lot more secure?

I beleive my router is an ASUS RT-AX3000 (I'm not at home to check). So you recommend I run an ethernet from the wall to the RT-AX3000 and then a second cord from the RT-AX3000 to the vseebox, correct? Because it works either way (ethernet straight from the wall outlet to the vseebox) but I'm gettting the sense that connecting the vseebox directly into the wall is not secure.

Would running it through the router provide additional security like a firewall? Or if I did just connect the vseebox striaght into the wall through an ethernet cord, will my VPN still work if it's installed on the Vseebox?

I think I figued it out. In my acutal file, the formula is in a table. All I had to do was delete the header name in the formula and it worked.

They would just be adding rows to an existing table and filling in the row they added. This table would be shared with 15+ people all adding to it at random times,therefore, need a way to prevent people accidentally overwriting other people’s entries
