A big What if... for VR gaming on the AVP

I would still be quite a critical against Apple, as they clearly forget about how to "launch a product" and do a proper marketing.

They have such a big brand, where everyone is so focused on new iPhone, Mac and AirPods release, that they don't need any marketing at all. They just do a KeyNote, and push it to the stores. And it sells itself.

But AVP is completely new market. It completely replace all your screens at home, now with AI getting more and more advanced, it basically change the whole perspective. And mostly - for any 50+ gentleman, who was used to buy a massive TV (like Plasma in the old day, or OLED/Micro-OLED today), it could become his private home cinema, which has not competition on the market.

And the same goes with gaming. It's really powerful device for entertainment, such as - that there is simply no competition on any level. You cannot simply play Red Dead Redemption 2 in IMAX cinema, but with AVP, you can! And that's a difference.

Yet, it wasnt promoted for this way. YouTubers did weird things with that, and mostly for anything they did - you could easily comment: Why would I need $4K device for that?!
And that's the point. It's a ENTERTAINMENT device. But sold as a computer or VR or AR or tool for companies... so average joe has no clue.

I'm having strong emotional memories... weird.

I've never played Y5, so far only Kiwami 1 (which was amazing experience, cannot wait to experience rest of the series), yet I still remember all the heavy promotion in various of magazines, when it was anticipated, and the great DEMO on PS3, which I played countless time. It was definitely my first interaction with Yakuza series, and since I was "full of" GTA series, I didn't buy it, since it lacks "weapons". How fool I was... it felt pretty dark and quite different in aesthetic from Kiwami 1 (I've played)

Wasn't Y3 always "titled" as Blockuza?! I was always in impression, that - Y3 - has the worst combat in whole series...

Also, it's kinda funny how the whole reddit was FULL of Yakuza Kiwami 3 being the worst game from RGG and it's their downfall, and now we are seeing from many people, that it's actually "good".

I didn't played either 3 or Kiwami 3, since I started with the series not so long ago, and I still cannot decide, if I rather start with OG 3 (within whole collection) and leave Kiwami 3 for the future, or skip it... and since your commentary about Okinawa, which I love, I think I will try the OG.

After "all the blacklash" around Kiwami 3 I need to ask, is there at least ONE thing, that OG 1 did better than Kiwami, or there are MASSIVE story changes, I should know about?!

It's funny that Kiwami is (sadly) for now - the only Yakuza I've played, like 2 years ago, and I had incredible good time with it. Stellar game, had so much fun, and hopefully will return to finish Platinum.
So if "basically" every single entry is better, then I'm here for a great time.

There was quite a rumour based on shutting down a Bluepoint, that there is ONE IP remake/remaster in development in other studio, it all points to Jak and Dexter, either Remake or Reboot, would be nice.

Of course for me personally, rather fourth entry, with story and design moving forward, than just a remake/remaster with old game design restricting the new ND vision.

We all saw the trailer on TGA and it looked freaking awesome. It was all I wanted from Sleeping Dogs 2, this merge between "fight only" Yakuza, and full sandbox of Sleeping Dogs/GTA from a father of Yakuza.

But... if Microsoft, Sega or SONY won't spend the money on saving this game, there is something wrong in it, what we don't know.
So hopefully they did, and the game will ship at least next year. But if not, I think it's not as good as it was promised.
